It didn't work for me, after making many attempts to configure SMB on my konica minolta bizhub 601 it still says "Failed to complete job."

I think the Bizhub 601 uses SMB v1, which doesn't work with Windows these days. Have you tried scanning using the Konica Minolta FTP app, it's really simple and just works!

This video was a lifesaver. I'd been trying to get the Bizhub C3320i scanner to talk to our new computer for hours. Know what did it? Your advice to set up a new user name and password! I almost skipped that step because I was 'sure' I knew mine. 🙄 Then I figured I'd try it. I'd tried everything else, I had nothing to lose and voilà, that worked! Thank you. 👏

Not working at all. I'm wishing to scan to a sub folder, how do I do that? I have a Bizhub C451 trying to scan to windows 10. It seems that my printer cannot see my computer at all.

C451 is super old. My guess is the copier firmware most likely is the issue here....not compatible with windows 10. Unfortunately, no more updated firmware is avail for that old machine. you may want to try scanning to an FTP Utility. Search "konica minolta ftp utility win 10 download" on google and download it. might work. Good Luck!

My Konica Minolta c258 is unable to send scans to SMB folder in Windows 11. I tried everything, shared the folder, changed the advanced network settings and all other registry edits (suggested in youtube videos regarding file/printer sharing). I am able to access the folder from other network PC (running windows 10), but not able to send scans from konica. Not sure what's the issue.. But it is sending scans to Windows 10 Pc without any issues... Is there an issue with Windows 11 and Konica Minolta?

Any advice for scanning to a networked Dropbox Folder that resides locally on my PC? I had it working but got a new PC with a new IP address and now it's not working anymore--I've followed all your steps, but I know I've always had to enter the IP address of my machine on Page Scope in the past. I've got a C353 (old!); thanks in advance!

Whatever folder you have on Dropbox, just share it and point the network path to that specific phone on your computer. In essence you'll be scanning to your computer but I'm assuming your drop box is sync so it would take just a few minutes to go to your cloud. Makes sense?

@@PrestigeOfficeSolutions Thanks for your help--I ended up having to call KM anyway, but interestingly, on my new machine I had to check the SMB boxes in Windows before I could proceed (they were unchecked). Then I did have to use the IP address of the new PC, but I did set up the new BIZHUB user as you suggested in your video. It took a while, but we're now able to scan to the synced shared Dropbox folder

if its not recording a static IP you may have somthing going on with the controller board. i would first start with updating the firmware. if you're not a tech or have access to firmware you do need to have a local KM dealer perform this for you. good luck!

my scan to desktop was working... then it stopped. IP remains same, so does the W10 user account and PW... I fear latest W10 update disabled it. I deleted old scan registration and re-setup just like in video. and still wont work... any ideas? i get error code 57 on my C360... server connection error code.....

the bizhub c360 is an old model and might not work with the newer windows smb updates. Although, they don't come up with new firmware for that model, you might get it to work by updating the last firmware available. Another option is to us an FTP utility application which was designed for the older models such as yours.

How to create a single folder on a machine which could be seen by all offices. They come to the machine room scan their docs in that folder and retrieve them later on their computers

you make that specific folder sharable to everyone on your network and they can see it when clicking "network" on file explorer. Works best on windows professional. if you have home version simply create map drive on each computer to point to the shared folder.

simply create a new user on that computer and give it a password. old machines didn't have much security. newer models are much more secure so you do need a password

this is where the troubleshoot comes into play. many many factors can be the cause of this....too many to list. without physically being there it may be firmware related or your computer is blocking read/write somewhere....might need to call in a tech for further troubleshooting

creating a new user is good idea. the amount of users who log in using Windows Hello and havent typed a password in for 2 years and have no idea. or they change password each year from password2020 to password2021 and then call you "nothing has changed it just stopped working"

smb 1 is never safe but some people can't get thier machine to work on smb 2-3 so they are willing to chance it.....im only here to show them how it can be done. yes, admin isn't necessary of course....

Request to all Intraprenuars please dont go for konika Minolta machines. Some day before I've purchased c258 bizhub. It's unbelievable machine we can't trust his build quality. Just 5000 copies we lost machine motherboard. After sales Konika minolta company never helps customer to replace components. They suggest you to replace mejor parts. It's very expensive. Please beware. It should be mejor loss. Don't waste your hard earned money.

There's many factors that can cause that not to work. Unfortunately there's no 1 solution to this issue. Only thing i can say is smb needs to be on. Open Control Panel in your PC/Notebook. Click on Programs. Click on Turn Windows features on or off link. Expand the SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support option. Check the SMB 1.0/CIFS Client option. Click the OK button.

for others, where is not working, make everything like in the video but add this: Control panel, Program Features, Turn Windows Features On and Off, find SMB V1 and check it. Windows will set needed file and ask to reboot. It is about smb v1 turned off in windows
