I just updated my to-do list for the future: - relocate to Italy - get myself a cool place like this flat - host a party in the double-volume living room - entertain my guests talking about the frescoes, acting all cool and cultured - hire a bartender to mix cocktails on that open plan kitchen (with some flair tricks) - then when the party’s over, retire to the master bedroom and put on some relaxing classical music (and THAT’s the real party) Needless to say, Stefanie is the first person I’m going to invite to such parties 😇

I just moved to Florence a month ago and my apartment is on Borgo Santa Croce, just to the right of where the opening shot of the Piazza was filmed. I am one door from the famous Aqua Flor perfumery. I have made friends with several people in the neighborhood and everyone has been so kind. I have a year long Visa, but I hope to make Italy my forever home!!!

Well I came here when I was younger and studied in Italian schools, which forced me to push myself and learn Italian creating my ties with the culture and city but it differs from case to case I suppose :) - Stefanie

I think the video captures the vibe you get when you're in Florence. Props to the producer and the rest of the production team. As to the apartment, since it used to be a theatre, maybe it has great acoustics which I think would be an x factor for a musician looking for a perfect space to build a home studio, just my two cents. One thing for sure though, Stefanie -- you have perfect hair.

Firenze, my favourite city in Italy. To live there would be a real bonus in life, to live in this apartment would be an even bigger bonus. Like always, it needs to come with a caretaker/cleaner and a chef to keep up the standards of "yesteryear"! Thanks Steph and Lionard LRE.

There are rooms with low ceilings in a house with such high ceilings. It's conscious. Black and white are not colors. He put a lot of effort into destroying the Renaissance spirit.

@@Lionard Scusa, non volevo sembrare pedante. E' che, interessandomi la musica antica, avevo notato l'incongruenza. Mi piace molto questo appartamento e non condivido i pareri negativi espressi da alcuni. Credo che una casa debba essere in primo luogo comoda ed abitabile, altrimenti diventa un museo. Vanno bene quindi gli arredi moderni, anche in un contesto antico.
