Was wondering, with the wooden floor joists concreted into the slots all the outer walls were pulled together and couldn’t be forced outwards because of the considerable weight of the roof pressing down on them. What happens with the c sections where the joists are just slotted in. If the walls move outwards the floor will just fall out?

@SueLegg-lh6fj 2 ай бұрын
He's brought the old ruin to the point that it's restoration is now absolutely doable, cut out of the overgrowth, cleared of tons of debris and of most of the dangerous overhead rubble. There's a live-in office on site and, with some amazing help from a sponsor, a brand new state of the art work shop on the lower floors. There's one large section of roof up and another large section coming soon, nearly two full wings of floors with acess to upper-level windows and doors and balconies, a massive garden, a drive, a parking area, and the unearthed remains of a stone swimming pool. That's quite a start and a long long way from the impossible project people thought it was.

Chateau Chaumont reminds me of the Tardis. It looks massive inside yet neat and precise outside. So glad you have Nick's multi-faceted skill base, plus spatial awareness to complement your abilities. Keep going ,keep going, it's all so exciting. 🎉🎉🎉

WHY are my insides feeling so excited!?!! 2 weeks and at the top! 🎉 Thanks for all the FF parts so we could see parts of all the flooring put in, including NOGGINS! 😅 And moving that beam across an upper floor... thrilling! This little video condensed a TON of work down, leaving me thinking that I got to see the WHOLE DAY! Great job, guys! 😊

Wow. As soon as the notification arrived I switched channel. ‘Escape to rural France’ is always my go to watch. Brilliant work Nick and Dan. You might have nearly killed Nick but what an achievement. Take a rest. Keep in touch. Ad hock videos keep us all up to date and involved in the development of the chateau. ( start planning the Christmas ornament, take in a worker to help. We loved last years!) Be proud you have moved mountains. More to move but you can do it!!!!!

Speedy Gonzales, so to speak. If you move on so quickly, you may have to look for the chateau to rebuild soon. Watching you guys digging around with something is always a pleasure, and it always gets exciting. Considering all the hard labor and endless hours you are investing, you look good, Dan.
