I'm going to a state comp with this piece and I will be trying out these alternate fingerings. Thank you!

First time I've seen one of your videos and I have to say this one is excellent. So glad you are talking about altered fingerings for both timbre and facility. I'm mainly from the jazz world and have experimented to find out different ways of creating the same notes both for creating different sonic effects and for facility sake. Definitely agree that in a fast passage, the audience is not going to tell the difference if a note is slightly out of tune or not. Not having much contact with classical players I didn't know if the teachers were very strict in their approaches as far as fingering. You've also taught me some fingerings I will definitely want to incorporate in my own playing. Thank you very much.

Good stuff, man -- particularly on the subject of endurance. That challenge is frequently overlooked in this piece.
