Pretending to be a NPC to Trick my Friends in HIDE and SEEK!

Hey everyone and welcome back to motor town! Today we are playing an epic game of hide and seek in the city where we each take turns trying to hide in vehicles while pretending to be a NPC! Can we drive normal enough to trick our friends?

A suggestion for improved rules if you do it again. At X time you either say something about your car (more and more defining every time you do this hint) or you limit yourself to an area in the city, first which half of the city, then half of that and so on. A hider can give either hint, but when they use the same hint multiple times you define more and more. :)

The Fortnite approach would be cool, but I think it would be hard to implement at least now while Dapper is still relatively new to this game. It is a little harder to know exactly where you are in the city when you are actually playing. i think at some point, basically a time when they just want it over, so, maybe 12 minutes, they should just have to park and hide. No more moving. Similar to Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday Hide and Seek. With 3 previous hints to give a description of the car, then not being able to move, it would truly be a hide and seek and probably shouldn't take more than another couple minutes to find, unless someone finds a really good hiding spot.

I think a false call should add 1 minute to the time instead of 5 seconds. that would lead to more observation and sussing out if the driver is actually an npc instead of just calling every driver that has a green jacket.

@@Apokalypse456 I'd say somewhere in between. 5 seconds was nothing, but a minute would make it a game of the least false calls more than speed. 30 seconds would probably be the sweet spot.

Love this hide and seek was hilarious. Was laughing so bad when the "hider" were just following the seekers for a couple blocks. 17:45 omg he almost hit you there. 19:35 lol, no clue how you didn't crack up there, as soon as he left.

I believe the hints in this game should be giving out more like Guess Who. Telling the Seeker what vehicle is you are in is like telling the Seeker in scrap mechanic hide-and-seek where you are. Example of the hints given are: "I'm in a white vehicle." "I'm in a service vehicle." "I'm in a car." (Give you one guess of who in the video I'm hinting at) Also, I'm in agreement that City Limits should be more defined as I think Dapper had the right idea with the size limit of area

There's traffic cones that can be bought at the racetrack with the drifting practice area and the go kart track. Those can be placed in the world. So they could buy the cones and place them around the boundaries. Just need to be sure to not place them where they'd cause traffic jams.

+5 seconds penalty per attempt, so it gets more time consuming to guess wrong. Clearly defined boundaries would be better also. But great video, hope to see more!

What if every time you guess wrong it adds 0:30 seconds to your time? Then you still play until the end but there’s a penalty for guessing wrong.

Instead of limiting tries, I think it would help to just make the penalty for guessing wrong a longer amount of time, like 15-30 seconds. There are too many cars to limit tries, although if you have to wait 15-30 seconds when you guess wrong, that could really increase your seeking time and cause you to lose.

Could do this in GTA Tag to find so they can run. Hiders can NOT repair or change vehicles but the seeker can. @failrace does a similar thing every month called “survive the hunt”

^The next time, you should make that the watcher can choose to know what the hiders drive, like you say "ok i show the cars for 3 seconds, look away if you don't want to know" then you show them (ofc that is done in editing, lol) it would be nice to know what cars they have and see them pass you or smth.

Okay, so a simple rule that would make rounds a little shorter and more tense, after 60 secs, the hiders have to beep their horn for 3 seconds. Keep repeating every 60 seconds. It makes it tense if the seeker is nearby as the minute closes in, plus the seeker gets rhe general direction of a hider if they are near enough.

Do it again! Next time do 5 honks! You also have to push your vehicle into there's. The hiders both have to verify yes or no within a few seconds. The reason I feel like having to actually make contact 1 would make for a funny chase scene and 2 it would clarify what vehicle your calling out so you can't just honk in between a bunch of cars and say is that you. As for hints it should start at 4 minutes and have it narrow down what they are by saying example I am not a truck or I am not the color blue etc. It would help narrow cars down by eliminating big chunks of cars. The challenge seems more to be finding someone not so much what they are driving. Also eliminating types and colors of vehicles would keep people from being able to ping ping the seeker by saying oh I just passed this then drive to the other end and say oh I just passed this. Making the seeker constantly chase the hiders ghost.

In my opinion, a good hint system would be something like: 5 minutes - vague description of car, like big or small 7 minutes - more descriptive version of car, like color 9 minutes - give the model of your car 11 minutes - you have to find a hiding spot and park it and not move Obviously the times of those hints could be tweaked if it is too easy, but I think this would give about the same times per run that you get with Multiplayer Monday Hide and Seek. For this, hints of where you are really don't help at all unless the seeker happens to be right there since by the time they get there, the hider will be gone.

In this game the seeker could have cheats to say so on top of hints. A few examples: -Engine failure: The hiding team can't accelerate but can turn and brake for the next few seconds. (A car in traffic suddenly loses power) -Can't turn: Same as engine failure but they can only turn or brake. (Faceplants a bus or wall) -Honk it: They have to use the horn once, by turns. Yes, kind of like the audio hint in S.M. H&Seek. (He's right behind you but was a NPC that got the timing? -Do even NPCs honk at you?)

26:47 I got rules: -Honk to confirm find -5 tries to honk -Reset to 5 once one hider is found -After 5 min hiders give clues -Hiders give clue every 2 min after the first clue -If one hider is found, the found hider could give hot or cold when asked by seeker, hot or cold clue reset every min. (The seeker needs to ask hot or cold)(reset could be marked by remembering the number of seconds every minute; example: 1:37, remember 37 to reset on 2:37)

the pretending to be a npc is a comon thing for this type of thing failrace does a gamemode called survive the hunt, the game is pretty simple, last 24 hours in game (usually GTA) without getting killed. its a really cool concept and he does em every month now which is just mint

Rather than limiting the amount of guesses, increase the time penalty for guessing wrong. You're spending more than 5 seconds watching someone, so a 5 second penalty is nothing. To avoid boring video from making someone sit there, just track it and add it at the end. So three wrong guesses might add three minutes to your time, but you can move as soon as you guess. You also need to announce you are hitting the horn so that the other players respond faster.

It's pretty easy to tell if a car is a front, rear, or all wheel drive though. You can just open the info for the car you are in, or check the wiki, which 90% of the vehicles have.

Instead of having a limited ammount of tries to get the hiding one. I would say add 20-30 seconds or how ever much you guys feel comfortable with as a time penalty. Maybe increase the time penalty every 2-3 tries?. I think it would be better, because with a limited x ammount, you have a lose condition not based time.

You should have 1 who hides and multiple seekers. And the game ends when the person hiding can no longer move. Gotta be immobilized for 10 seconds by the seekers blocking them.

also for hints at the 6 min mark give a general area like west side of town (farm side) or east side (high rise side), then every 2 mins after give a building description that is front of them. at the 12 minute mark give a car, 14 minutes color type of car and building in front of them. at 16 minutes they can now hunt you and if they hit your car and honk with out you noticing them +10 minutes to your time and move onto the next round.

Cop cars and Taxis are not utility vehicles, you might say they are more in line of public service vehicles, cops use the cop cars to look for and transport prisoners to jails, and the Taxi cars transport fare's from point A to point B.
