I love this guy; He really knows his stuff. One comment: When checking tires all my CDL manual says about retreaded, recapped, or re-grooved is that it is prohibited on a bus. I would have assumed that all other vehicles would not require this check, but that's what I get for assuming. Now I will know to do that check also.

Show me the regulation that shows you can’t use recaps or regrooved tires on a tractor. Let’s correct this myth forthwith: *The ONLY vehicle that you cannot use recaps or regrooved tires on is a commercial passenger bus. FMCSR Title 49 Part 393.75*
