Spencer's parents are the worst. For a whole season, they let Ian live in their home in spite of the fact that Spencer is clearly terrified of him, because they claim she has no reason to be scared of him. Then when she gives them a reason--like the fact that he tried to kill her and make it look like a suicide--they not only refuse to believe her, but also go to great lengths to isolate her from her friends, the only people who actually do believe her and support her. That's not even counting how Veronica denied Spencer anxiety medication after being held hostage and tormented by a lunatic for almost a month.

In this case yes they should have i would say always support your kids. If they were lying which there weren't. But if they were the parent would look really dumb. I know! I was so sad and mad he died. Even then he's a better dad then the other 3 even if he was there. He never cheated on pam. Unlike Byron and Peter. He always listen to Emily. The other three wouldn't even listen and just blame them then yell at them. At least Byran apologized when he knew he was in the wring the other two didn't. Peter just was a suck up to Spencer when he was. Hannas dad was terrible. Even his own mother like Hanna and Ashley more then him and stuck up for her protected her better the he did. Hannas grandma was a better dad then her actual dad.

The best mom has to be Ashely, than Ella. Ashely had a better storyline in general, and she's still a great mom. Ella was cheated on, and went to Austria for a while, and dumped zack for cheating. The worst thing to happen to her was the basement. The worst thing to happen to Ashely was getting sent to jail for killing widen, which she didn't.
