Probably the Maya knew one because I felt so proud that I'd figured it out but mostly the time line because if you look closely basically season three, four and some of five happened in two months, I think you should do a vid on that because it was really dumb.

I don't know if it's like too many writers or whatever? But there's a LOT of lazy writing, storylines that either went nowhere or just made no sense at all! and tons of plot holes in Pretty Little Liars that just make it so bloody frustrating to watch.

I think they should’ve explained why Melissa hated the girls so much. As far as I know, there’s no reason for her to hate them. Also, they should’ve also explained more where Alison was/what she was doing the whole time she was missing.

the n.a.t. club one hundred percent!!! it really could’ve been a storyline extremely sinister and dark and perverted, but it was forgotten about way too soon. also, you should do a video about things you’d want to see in the PLL: Original Sin reboot!

There were so many hints and foreshadowing of Aria being A and having a split personality. Also why did Alison take photos of Aria when she was asleep? Aria could have been such an interesting character who was wasted on Ezra.

It was one of the biggest theories in regards to PLL since people believed that Aria’s other personality was A. Which is different than BPD splitting where a person will see things in black and white (or all good or all bad).

Right before Halloween a year before season one, we learn that only one year has past since her death. Also, the fact that Bethany was supposed to be only two years older than Alison and yet in a flashback we see that she is the same age as Charles - who is at the very least four years older than Alison. (Well, she was supposed to be four years older, later she is suddenly around seven-eight years older than Ali and the liars.)

Yes Hanna was the only one who actually tried to make Mona a part of their group, she tried to encourage girls to give Mona a chance just like she did, Hanna was the one inviting Mona to some of their meetings, asking her for help, keeping in touch with her and stuff like that

Yeah but for all of that she didn’t treat her all that well :( Mona saved her, made her an it girl, gave her a new lease on life. Hanna really should have been ride or die, but sometimes she seemed just as fed up with Mona as the rest of the Liars. My best friend was like Mona, but she had so many issues and upset my family, embarrassed me by acting horrible to people around us, and demanded I devote time and energy I didn’t have to keeping her happy. When I couldn’t be ride or die anymore, I told her and set her free. She deserved better than a half-assed friendship for all she had given me. So did Mona.

@@laklomp I get what you’re saying, and Mona being A can’t just be forgiven. But I guess to me, the real takeaway is that these girls weren’t really the best people either. They stood by while their leader bullied and traumatized multiple people and even let her get away with BLINDING a girl. Couldn’t be me...silently watching someone call someone else a hermaphrodite nickname, wtf? They never apologized to Mona properly even after she became friends with Hanna, and they certainly never seemed to care about Jenna, whose life they changed. It’s ridiculous, I know we’re supposed to like them but this ended up being the story of how 4 cowardly and not-great girls got targeted for revenge by someone whom they let be tortured. I don’t excuse Mona, but I feel Hanna wasn’t as good a friend for essentially treating her as disposable. SHE didn’t know Mona was A, all she knew was Mona saved her and treated her amazingly. There should have been some loyalty to Mona rather than to the friends from Ali’s clique 😂

They were mean and heartless while following Allison which is very easily seen about flashbacks and present time. Even when Allison said stuff about Hanna being fat, nobody replied. They became more humane in present time though, but still got certain visions that was imprinted by Allison from the past. Like how many times they thought Tobby was bad or indeed, how little they care about Jenna while sometimes it's very clear that Jenna also lost a lot and that she has a very good reason to despise the girls. Honestly, I feel like they did evolve during S1-further season's in certain perspectives but you are right, they aren't blameless. It's also true what Spencer said "Ever think it's our fault, if we would stop lying, than A wouldn't be able to throw it in our face" Honestly, criticism of the show aside, this show is a perfect show to give classes about ethics, right or wrong, imprinted thoughts and believes,..

Aria and ezra are gross all around agreed but the Sean and hannah thing with mona egging her on is very typical ideation from high schoolers. I got told the same things from friends in middle school even. My school fortunately had focused a bit in sex ed on educating us on consent, being ready and not giving into pressure but it's extremely common and I'm actually glad the show had a female doing the pressuring it's just unfortunate that like many things with this show it's never followed up on appropriately like say with hannah having a conversation with her mom and learning she needs to respect Sean's choice. They just did it for drama and forgot about it.

Mona becoming part of the liars would've made so much more sense, and frankly would've shown that the four girls had some decency in them, because like you said, they had always been rude to her and excluded her in all of the seasons. Plus, compared to Ezra, Toby, and Caleb, Mona had an actual excuse for the things she did to the girls, due to her developing a mental illness as the result of Alison's detrimental torment. Ezra was a total creep and sociopath for preying on young girls, Toby and Caleb had their own problems.. I truly believe that Mona had good intentions past season three and that she was the one who deserved forgiveness and inclusion the most.

The girls got more annoying, I was really not happy with Emily having multiple girlfriends like she should’ve stayed with Maya they were great together. I truly don't understand why the fans raved about these girls' friendship. They were in a typical toxic friendship group: just people you hangout with and talk to who you will lose contact with after high school and this show was mostly based in high school. They were brought together by Alison and had a surface level friendship. There was nothing deep between them since day 1. They were tortured and traumatized so they had no choice but to lean on one another. The one thing they build together throughout the show was loyalty so it would be understandable that they would would feel betrayed and shocked if one of the liars/Aria was A but other than that, I feel no special bond between them. The writers missed out big time by listening to fans. I feel the same way with most of the main romantic relationships too. PLL was less storytelling and more fan service.

I did have a feeling that the writers definetely were more worried about making fans angry by letting A be one of the Liars or their boyfriends rather than about writing a good story. Who needs a good story when you have FRIENDSHIP and SHIPS. Seriously, if I want to see that, I'm watching a telenovela or a disney movie but not a mystery show, so this fan service really annoyed me.

I wish the show had incorporated more of the plot points from the books, especially from later in the series, because some of them were just so interesting like: *book spoilers ig* -the whole cruise ship plot with the bomb and the girls almost drowning -Hannah's relationship with her dad, and learning to appreciate her mom and stop seeking her dad's approval -Iris's character and her dynamic with Emily -Tabitha as well was such an interesting character, especially since an ongoing theme of the show was fire and burns, she would've made such a great addition to the plot -The whole Jamaica incident in general -Emily's girlfriend who was wanted by the FBI -Courtney!!!! -Melissa's development and her relationship with Wilden (who was actually an ok guy in the books) -Nick was such a creepy character, but I guess he doesn't make sense unless Alison is A -That one part where Alison impersonated a burn victim -Emily's suicidal thoughts and how it tied into the end with her catching A -when Ezra came back for one book and was basically exposed as a creeper and a narcissistic -Spencer reaching out to the guy who had been bullied in school with the scars on his face and was giving her information on Alison -Alison faking her death at the end and acting like the girls tortured and killed her so that they'd all go to jail

Ezra was a weirdo and Ezria just shouldn't have been a thing, the amount of relationships on this show between the teenage protagonists and adults is concerning, the mental health and drug addictions were so mishandled that it's gross, Emily deserved actual storylines not just failed relationships, and in my ideal world Mona is one of the liars and is treated as a equal.

@@nolaray1062 You can argue that they did it for conflict, but considering their main demographic was teenage girls and never once thought how having inappropriate relationships romanticized on the show might affect how they look at relationships is terrible. If Ezra were treated as an actual predator and went to jail (like in the books) and the other relationships were treated like they were creepy and gross (like they were), then I would have no problem with it because the show acknowledges how wrong they are. Also the way they handled the mental health aspect of the show was a horrible portrayal of mental illnesses and added to the stigma.

That responsibility falls on the parents. One of my favorite shows when I was a kid dealt with vigilantism. Noel doesnt make sense because in the books he wasn't supposed to be a villian. As a teen I was annoyed that he tried to out Aria and Ezra but now as I'm older I think Ezra was shady af and the relationship was disgusting to me, Noel was the only one that reacted like a normal person to a 20 something english teacher dating a 16 year old. *spoiler alert lol* He was supposed Aria's main love interest btw

Honestly one of the biggest problems with the show was that they just kept adding and adding mysteries without solving most of them. They seemed to be under some idea that having 100 different storylines would keep viewers engaged and they would just got more and more absurd. I could not believe for one second these girls were in high school. They always just felt like really immature and dumb adults. Mona was like one of the only characters I cared about by the fifth to seventh seasons. By that point I didn't even care who Uber A was (though it should've been Aria and/or Alison), I just wanted good things for Mona and the show wouldn't even give her that as if her character wasn't carrying the show on her back by this point. .

i remember watching pll when i was younger and thinking that aria and ezra’s relationship was completely fine and healthy and i remember getting so angry whenever anyone in the show questioned it because the writers made it out as if there wasn’t a problem which was so irresponsible of them knowing that they had such a young, impressionable audience. Even though I liked the younger show so much, I realize how problematic it was: - How banalised Hanna's eating disorders have been. I know that was the point for Allison to be mean and bully others, but even later on in the show, her comments about Hanna's weight (and even in general) were never addressed, like they weren't harmful. - Same goes for Spencer's substance use, who was declared to be insane (she just needed help and I hate how they did it). Or the treatment Mona was being given for her mental disorder, which was never properly explained. Honestly, she deserved so much better, because with what she had as a support, I'm not sure she would have done well in reality than in the series. - Cece's diagnosis, I never understood. She says she was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder, but she doesn't have any of the clinical features (at least they haven't been explained, because the behaviors she has and the actions she did weren't appropriate with the diagnosis). It annoys me so much. What if she had a diagnosis, she had no treatment, follow-up, therapy? Why was she left on her own? And like you say, I find it sad that the only trans character is the big bad, when we have no other representation in the serie. - I won't talk about Ezra and his obsession with Allison, let alone his illegal relationship with Aria. - Honestly, I do not understand the need to put the characters in couple, when it has nothing to do in their story. I honestly would have preferred that Aria and Hanna ended up alone at the end of the series, which shows that you don't have to be in a couple to be happy. - I would have loved to have had Dr. Sullivan all seasons and have her do group and individual therapy with the girls. The evolution and complexity that it could have brought to the characters could have been awesome. Again, sorry for the novel, haha. I agree with all the points you made in your video. They botched sensitive topics and it made me mad.

I really wanted Aria and Ezra to be A together. I think it would have explained so much about both of their characters, especially ezra's past with Alison and the book he was writing. It would have been so much more interesting for all of the characters and probably would have meant that lots of the other plot lines could have been resolved as well. Also if Aria and Ezra were working together as A it would have solidified their relationship and made it much less predatory and weird in my opinion. If they had another connection and their story hadn't begun at that bar in season 1 (because I definitely think Aria spent some time in Radley- how did Eddie lamb know her?) then I think they could have been a really solid, evil couple that would have tied the pretty little liars plot together really well. 10 things I would change about pll: 1. aria and ezra being together until season 4 is okay to me, but ezra should've never gotten his job at rosewood high back. like, they were seen dancing at the masquerade and still? also how arias parents just dropped being against the relationship after like season 3. I think after the whole book thingy ezra and aria should've just stayed friends and aria should've ended up with someone like Jason or Jake. 2. Cut all the unnecessary love stories like the one with Ashley and Jason. Other than for the court thingy it added nothing to the show and only made me skip all those scenes during my recent re-watch. 3. Cut the whole Spencer and Caleb storyline out, to me it felt super forced and they had no real chemistry. Hanna had a fucking fiancée, that could've been the main struggle for haleb in the last two seasons, so why add Spencer into the mix. The whole Spencer thing kind of ruined haleb for me, because them ending up together was kinda rushed in season 7. 4. don't make emison endgame. their relationship never made sense to me, especially the whole pregnancy thing. Emily deserved so much better, have her end up with a brand new character, maybe somebody that is connected to the liars or A in some sorta way, but emison ending up together felt like such fanservice. their relationship should've ended in season 5 after they slept together and emily realised how messed up Ali still was 5. Make Emily bisexual like in the books. Even though Emily was great lesbian representation, I think making her bi and taking some of the storylines from the books that are tied to her being with guys (for example her whole abortion storyline) would've made for a far more interesting and less boring character. If a love triangle between the liars was really necessary it could've been between zltoby, em and spencer because unless caleb and spencer, toby and em had better chemistry. 6. Cut out the whole Ravenswood crap. It was so boring and weird to just throw in some random supernatural shit. Have one of the girls pull Ali out and let it be a big reveal or let it be Mona for all I care, the whole mrs Grunwald (???) thingy Was just stupid and lead nowhere. Instead of Caleb disappearing to Ravenswood he could've had to stay with his mom because he was kicked out of rosewood high or something, give him a horrible relationship with his stepfather or whatever, it would explain his alcohol problems. 7. have the girls repeat senior year. I think the whole 1 year in the show equals two seasons concept from seasons 1 and 2 was far better pacing than putting 3 months into 2 seasons. after the whole pills and Ali is alive thing, the girls should've all have to repeat senior year so we could have better pacing and it would've been more realistic. 8. send them all straight into therapy after the dollhouse. I just think that it wouldn't just have been way more realistic but also way more interesting to have them relive their trauma and ptsd in a therapy session, that way we could all get a more detailed insight into the dollhouse. maybe there could even be more flashbacks. most importantly: their trauma should've been treated better. 9. maybe this is more of a personal thing, seeing as hanna is my favorite character, but really explore her discomfort with Ali in season 5. explore her alcoholism and sexual assault in a better way. don't make her dress in those kinds edgy clothes only for her to bring back her more colorful clothes later. make her the odd one out that doesn't fit in with the show anymore and really dive into it. it would've made a great storyline. have the dollhouse bring her back to the group. 10. the probably biggest thing I would change about pll: have Alison be A all along. the A reveals with Mona and Cece can still happen for all I care, but let her be the main villain. she was alive all along and her friends have moved on, more importantly, the group of girls she has brought together seem to be better off without her. have Ali kill Bethany and use Cece and Mona as her dolls or something in order to seek revenge to her ungreatful friends. Ali was toxic and psychopathic in the flashbacks, so don't try to redeem her but use it and make her the bad guy.

For how Mona got Mary and Alex, the cop who arrested them, isnt a police men. He is shown at the end to be monas boyfriend, so when Mona said, that she called the cops she lied. I have practically grown up with pll and I have started re-watching it recently and I just see how messed up a good part of the relationships are now- I never was a big fan of Ezra-Aria relationship but even then, it was never because of their age-gap now I just feel disgusted when watching their scenes. And the fact that Ella and Byron didn't ask Aria for more detail on that relationship just nerves me- Byron was really right on wanting to send Ezra away or call the police, but Ella kept making excuses on "that's how we raised her we shouldn't be surprised that's how it ended up", Ella KNEW it was a wrong relation and that Ezra was abusing Aria but yet she wanted "to understand" no parent should "want to understand" Even if Aria went mad at them, they. Should. Have. Called. The. Police. The Wren-Spencer Thing also was quite disgusting- Her family should've blamed wren not Spencer since she's a literal CHILD and Melissa first on that ! All the parents in this serie do so bad even Ashley who knew Samara and yet let her go out with Emily ! I do really have preferred Mona as the fifth Liar, because I have never seen Alison as that nice girl they tried to make her to be in the redemption and she should've been A because to me she always had that Psychopathic way (i think its the right term please correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm agree with so many things you said - The Sara Harvey issues was really annoying. In season 4 it looks like something much more intresting about her. a girl from close twon that was like Alison and her clique was like copy paste of Alsion's gang (Sara - Alison, Tina - Aria, Claire - Hanna and Avrey - Specner). and she went missing around the same time. but eventually she character was useless, was another one of the usless Emily's love intrests. the actress really wasn't good and the character became a walking meme with the shower thing. the thing that everyone remember about Sara is the shower joke. I expected that both gangs would team up together to find out who A is. and the most suspicious thing about Sara: her hometown name is **Court**land. I mean, Courtland-Courtney, I hope there would be some connection to Courtney like turns out that Sara is Alison's twin but not an identicale one so there would be some twist about Courtney (being honest, I think Alison is the only character in the show that twin could work perfectly) - Bethany was real f**k up story. in season 5 it seems she really an important character in the series lore. everything that was involved Bethany was a big deal like her roomate in radley, her sketchs book with the blonde girl with disfigured face. they hided her face all this time so I was sure there is something going on like she is someone's twin or she has scarred/burn face as a reslut of the Jenna Thing. I even wrote a theory that Bethany is Wilden's daugther. but when season 6 began, Bethany just became a plot device, a lame way to explain the body in the grave. the only way to make some justice with this storyline was to make her Mary's second child while her father is Kenneth. this way she could be in some methaporical way Ali's twin because their moms are identical twins and they have the same father. yet they did nothing with it. being honest, the only way to explain the dead girl in a good way is making her Courtney or Ali is dead for real (the show clearly wanted to go with this diraction in the first four season with so many evidances about Courtney's existence in the show but ins eason 5 they said "NO!" and scrapped her. - about Red Coat, it was confrimed by both Vanessa Ray and Norman Backley that the real Red Coat was Cece. Sara was the fake one. she was Red Coat only when Cece needed her to be. Sara was red coat only in the night of the fire + season 6. Alison was the red coat in the night of the fire + the second red coat in Ravenswood. Hanna was red coat in the school. but every other Red Coat appearance during season three and four was Cece (+ the scene with Red Coat spying on Ashley and Ella in season 6. the only time Cece was red coat after season 4) - I really hate how the Meredith storyline was a pure filler to make Byron look suspicious for three episodes. it was all the time that instad of reveal something to continue the plot they threw a red herring to fill the season. If they need so many fillers to fill the season, wouldn't it be better to have shorter seasons full of important stories and reveals? - the romancr subplots were pain in the a**. it obvious that the girls will return to their offical love intrests. so why wasting so much screentime on the romance subplots? the biggest victim of this is Emily. after season 4, all her storylines were her meating random lesbian girl, being the shadow of this random lesbian girl until the breakup. isn't it ironic that desptie being a lesiban, her longest relationship was with Ben, a dude, while she replaces girlfriend like socks. the sad thing is that in the books Emily grown so mucha - Agree about Aria. I think she is the biggest missed opportunity in the show. She seems like unique character. she loves arts, she is riting songs and stories, she loves black and white movies, she has unique fashion style (I love her gothinc look from the flashbacks so much) and she really cute. but 90% of her screentime is wasted on Ezra and if not Ezra so on other guys. The Ezria plot just dragged her to the wrong way and she became boring and in some cases annoying (i can't forgive her about her slutshaming on Hanna). and its sad becasue in the books she is such a great character. in fact she is my favorite liar in the books while in the show she was my least favorite (while with Hanna is the opposite. favorite in the show, least favorite in the books) - The Noel thing is mess. I'm rewatching the show right now (my plan is rewatch only the first two season) and I think the original plan for Noel was to be part of the A team alongisde Mona and Lucas. What makes me think about it is his cameo in the season 1 finale when he was seen in the crown after the church incident wearing black hoodie. and Ian recognized the person who pushed him and said "what are you doing him" and Ian was Nole's caouch. but it was changed to Alison later on the show. another reason for the mess of his characer was Shana. if you don't know, Noel originaly had Shana's role. he was supposed to do everything Shanna did in season 4. he was the person who met Jenna in the park in season 2 finale. but Brant, the actor, could not be in season 4 because at the time he was in Days of our lives + dancing with stars. so Shanna was created in season 3 as his replacement. - The NAT club thing was so weird. Once again it's a plot that was abandoned. we just find out about it existce and it was implied that big A wants to kill them. but it went to nowhere. just left and never talked about after season 3. if you ask me, I think the original intention of NAT CLUB was in their videos, that someone's camera recodred the death of Courtney but they never find out about this. - Melissa is missed opportunity as well. during all the show they made Melissa so sketchy, shady and scary. but she was used to be a red-herring for everything. the only thing she was involved with was Bethany's death and even this was lame. after rewatching season 1, I think it's pretty clear that the idea of Melissa being the one who killed the victim was always planned. Saeason 1 really hint us like the rush wedding (as it was said married couple can't testify on each other) or what Melissa told Ian after their honeymoon and of course, Ian wanted to kill Spencer and blame her because his love for Melissa. So I'm sure that Melissa always intedted to be the killer of the victim, but the story was change. I think in the original plan, Melissa met Courtney, thought she is Alison and they both had phisycal fight. Melissa hit Courtney with the shovel out of self defense so she wore Toby's jacket and burried Courtney out of stress. Alison say the hooded person burried Courtney, thought it was A (who stalked her at the time) so she run away. but with scrapping Courtney and replacing her with Bethany, Melissa's story was changed and she became red-herring for everything once again. great video :)

Throughout the show I always found it hard to buy the ages of the characters since they look, dress and talk like 20 something year olds, they even act like grown ups in their relationship with each other and with their partners. If I could change something It would have to be that, especially when it came to their relationships with older men, I would make it as creepy as possible really show the grooming going on. You could get tons of drama/blackmail from that. And dress them like teens, seriously who goes to school in high heels?

Like she spent years trying to make it up to the girls and they just kept calling her crazy and driving her away. And then they were upset if she worked with Red Coat or AD. Seriously, you treated her terribly, so why would she want to be on your side. I also hated how they treated Noel. Like he didn't deserve to die. The girls never really treated him with much kindness or even gave him a chance. The only ones who did was Mona and the people that they hated. If the girls actually gave people a chance, then maybe they wouldn't have been targeted by people. Also they really should have talked to other people like their parents more. Of course if Aria and Alison were both AD then some of the complaints would make sense. I wish that they showed a less black and white portrayal for some characters like Noel. Yes sociopaths do exist, but not all bad people are one hundred percent bad. Let people be complex and grow, not decapitate them because you want to have a dramatic ending for the character. Have him at least go to jail and learn to be a better person, killing off characters is not needed in that way.

I think the girl could’ve REALLY utilized Mona by incorporating her in the group. She is so smart, so she could’ve been a great asset to their team. Can you do a video about all the plot holes? But go into depth about them too!? I love this series btw. I’m a big PLL fan :):)

plot holes don't always matter when they dont affect the story but in shows like pll the viewer is called to pay so much attention to every single little thing they see so for there to be SO MANY plot holes and storylines that lead to nothing is ridiculous
