For worst couples: There's literally a moment in the first few episodes when Ezra sees the threats from A on Aria's phone and freaks out on her, even after she says the person who sent that ISN'T A FRIEND. If he were a responsible adult, he would have been like "what does that mean? you're being threatened?" But he was a creep who kept dating children, so his reaction was instead completely based on covering for himself.

Thats one of the topics PLL handles badly, like Hanna's eating disorder, Ezra being a groomer, Wren and Ian kissing their girlfriend's little sister or Radley being a dark hole instead of a safe place for someone who's mentally ill. If Sean pressured Hanna, it would've been a scandal.

This is true-I think it stemmed from Hanna still struggling with her body, Alison was still in her head telling her she’d never be thin enough, no guy would ever want her. So it wasn’t that she wanted Sean so much as she wanted to prove Alison wrong, to show that she was good enough. Getting Sean to want her was an extension of her need to shut that cruel voice out, but it made her more like Alison in that she was disregarding his own feelings. That said, I did appreciate their showing a teenage guy on tv who was comfortable saying no when he wasn’t ready, most tv shows portray boys as obsessive and even agressive in their quests for sex.

Also Haleb was BY FAR the best. Alison’s redemption was forced for Emison shippers, Ezria had noncery, and Spoby comes 2nd because Toby literally joined the A team, gave some shitty excuse ‘I was protecting you’ for turning Spencer CLINICALLY INSANE and then was just forgiven in a heartbeat. At least when Caleb returned from Ravenswood after breaking Hanna’s heart they took more time with her forgiving him. Spencer was telling Toby how he destroyed her then 5 mins later they’re having sex.

Honestly, I kind of liked that they subverted Caleb’s character a bit. At first, you think he’s a bad boy and up to no good, but then you realize that he’s just misunderstood. It also validates Hanna seeing him for who he is when everyone else judged him and weren’t even thinking about being friends with him. She always knew the real him even when everyone wrote him off as a street punk/criminal

Personally the fact that the twins look NOTHING like Emily just further adds to my ability to ignore the whole A implanting Emily’s embryos in Ali without either’s permission storyline. In my head, those are Ali’s and the creepy doctor’s biological daughters but Emily chooses to be their parent when Emison gets together. I think that way the two are coming together more organically since no matter how much I love Emison, the way they got together was so forced. (Also I never understood A’s motives for implanting Emily’s embryos in Ali? Alex Drake must have been an Emison shipper too because it’s just a weird thing to do.)

The problem with the friendship in the show is that the girls are linked in their friendship around that very toxic person, it breaks when she disappears, and then they're forced back together because of A. Their friendship is not genuine, it's not love for each other, it's circumstances that brings them together. And they go through such traumatic events how can it last. So no, for me it was never about female friendship.

It annoyed me how we found out Alison and Cece were sisters, but then we found out they were cousins, then we found out there was a secret Aunt then we found out spencer was actually Ceces sister and Alisons cousin and then we find out there’s a secret evil twin sister. Like- it just felt confusing because we were running around in circles and at points I forgot if Cece and Alison were friends, cousins or sisters just because of how confusing their family tree was getting.

The best couple is definitely Hanna and Caleb. They were perfectly matched and I loved seeing them together. I didn’t even buy it when they fought. I could understand small fights because Hanna could be fiery but their break ups were never believable to me. I always saw it as the writers wanting to add some drama but I knew they would get back together later.

Yeah that Ravenswood breakup was pointless because Caleb didn’t even like the girl Miranda like that and they didn’t even do anything. The writers also forced their last breakup just so Spaleb could happen out of nowhere. Before the time jump there were no signs of Haleb breaking up and that they’d be stable, but the writers were thirsting for drama and had no ideas for the last two seasons, so they just pulled things out of their you know what

Haleb had broken up due to Hanna not having time for their relationship on important days, and so that’s how all of that went down. Spencer and Caleb hooked up and got together after the time jump. Spencer and Caleb asked if Hanna and Toby were ok with it, but obviously they weren’t and there were times where Spencer sensed Hanna wasn’t okay with it despite Hanna saying otherwise. I know some people have different opinions on this, but I still think Spaleb shouldn’t have happened, especially since it wasn’t built up properly and seemed like a rebound relationship. I think the writers put them together for a quick way to start some drama and get a love triangle going.

While yes, Spencer did ask and Hanna was with someone else, Spencer did see that Hanna wasn’t 100% okay with it (see the 6x14 phone conversation and 6x15 when Spencer saw Hanna’s reaction to Caleb caressing Spencer’s hand). People go on and on about how smart Spencer and Caleb are, but want us to also believe that they didn’t notice their best friends being uncomfortable about it despite given the “okay”. It’s not that we wanted Caleb and Spencer to be unhappy, but it really felt like they were rebounding, which seemed to be the case especially on Caleb’s part. I’d say that they all were to blame for the love triangle happening

So, after he wanted to be with her, even if later he backs off a little, he still put it in her mind that they’re soul mates. Also, it’s extra super gross because he *knew* who she was & how old she was. He *forced* a relationship and literally groomed her. I think she should’ve been A for that reason, too. She was abused and used and Ezra is a POS who should’ve been killed by A (maybe season 6, maybe earlier. And also, no Nicole. That was gross, too)

Were they ever going to get into the weird dynamic of all the people who were a little bit older than them? Jason..Ian..Garrett.. I don’t understand why all of them besides Jason died due to connections with that club. Also, does anyone remember the mask that Spencer found of Melissa and how there was significance to it, but of course it wasn’t explained even remotely? The show had SO much to work with and instead they manipulated the fans to pay attention and hang on a little bit longer for utter crap. I cannot tell you how many nights I’d waste watching this show and theorizing with my friends on the phone afterwards for the ultimate reveal to be what it is. My unpopular opinion is that Aria and Jason should’ve had a much bigger storyline. They always had an infactuiation with each other. the writers couldve encluded more throwbacks to aria and jason around the time ali was «alive». A plot of «my best friends brother» type of thing, that never really went away. we saw glimps of it; like at Ian’s funeral. But they should have spent more time on them. always loved their chemesty. The little revisit in the timejump was just unnessesary. If they we’re gonna do it, they should’ve done it right, and well.

I might be a sinner for this, but the tension ahh!!!! the writers should've dove more into it. I do stan Haleb so hard, but he was away for almost half a season. And the Hanna x Holbrook plot could've been a nice distraction. Illegal and forbidden but undeniable chemistry. I could see him developing a love for her, but denying it bacuse of their situation... but because of his feelings, he´s fighting to keep her protected from the police department, while covering up the fact that they actually like each other. messy but passionate. Her feeling safe w him typa thing. Id absolutely love it. so sad they didn't feed into it

@Sabal Vasan, they could have easily had Aria and her twin be Byron’s children of an affair and they separate the twins with one going to the mom and Ella agreeing to raise Aria and never tell her the truth. That would also have given an extra edge to the pain and betrayal Ella feels when she finds out that he had another affair! Perhaps in a freaky twist, have the twins’ mom be one of HIS students (thereby adding to the whole ick factor of Aria dating Ezra), who might have suffered from the trauma (maybe a drug addiction that makes the twin’s childhood difficult) and the twin hates Aria and her friends for having everything she didn’t. It would have been much more believable than a Spencer twin and they could have had a storyline of Ezra finding this out in the research for his book and instead of telling Aria, he could have blackmailed her parents into letting him date Aria. That would also close the plot of why Byron and Ella let him continue to date Aria instead of reporting his illegal behavior to the police like most parents would!

I always thought that the whole dollhouse storyline was too rushed. Like first they get kidnapped and in the next episode, they get rescued. I know there is a time jump but WHY WAS THERE A TIME JUMP? The whole concept of the dollhouse was so interesting, I would've watched an entire season of the girls being trapped in it. Overall, the whole dollhouse storyline deserved more time, maybe then the writing would've been better since they have more time to show their feelings and fear.

Which could’ve worked so well as it could’ve been an emotional storyline where even after the time jump they were still really destroyed mentally. But the writers fucked it up and forgot about it and didn’t do it well. I’ve seen shows do this where they do that, have the characters affected by it and etc. and then drop it like a bomb what happened. If PLL’s writers were smart and good at their job they could’ve made the show so fuc*ing good by exploring the aftermath of it all.

The thing about Paige is that she commits the worst crime a fictional character can commit, and that is being annoying. An audience is more forgiving or a character who is an awful person but is entertaining than a character who hasn't technically done anything that bad, but makes you want to change the channel on their scenes. When it comes to fiction is easier to enjoy a well written (or at least fun) character who has done terrible things than a character who is just boring or annoying

I feel like the only person who started to at least bond with Mona was Spencer. There were times when you can tell they could've been friends eventually but Spencer still had trust issues and Mona did to, but they had respect for each other. Like in the reveal where Mona killed Cece. I think Mona suggested Spencer being the killer was because she knew Spencer knew already or was going to figure it out. They had a love/hate situation. I wanted to see more of their dynamic

Besides the obvious reasons Ezria shouldn't date, I lost it when Aria kind of cheated on Ezra with Jason in season 2 and also how easily she dated Noel. She even kissed Ezra's brother. They act like they are meant to be but are attracted to anyone and everyone in a split of a second. How are we suppose to root for your love (especially when its forbidden) when you treat it like an infatuation? Moreover, they were a random hookup in the first place. There was no indication of love or intense connection in their first meeting so them not being able to leave each other and being in love out of nowhere after discovering they were student and teacher didn't make any sense.I would get so annoyed when they would appear on screen to be honest.

my unpopular opinions: 1 - ezra and aria never should’ve been endgame. ezra should’ve been killed off in season 4 or should’ve left the show earlier. 2 - the cece and alex reveals could’ve been really good reveals if they’d been written better. for example, the alex reveal in my opinion would’ve been affective if spencer was the one who got kidnapped at the beginning of season 7 and since she’d come back, it was actually Alex. 3 - so much of seasons 3-5 is super unnecessary, literally like a season and a half should’ve been cut out. 4 - red coat storyline was boring af, like why was it needed. 5 - maya is emily’s only effective love interest. 6 - alison should’ve stayed dead or been A. after season 5, her character was boring and useless and the only thing she contributed was the elliot storyline. 7 - seasons 1-2 was the height of the show. 8 - spoby isn’t anything special. the best relationship of the show is haleb.

25:30 Agreed!!! In fact, I think the 5 year jump *proves* that Aria should have been A. The show wasn’t about friendship because if they had been friends, they would have stayed friends after high school. *but they didn’t!!* they went four separate ways!! They were forced to be “friends” in high school due to Alison, then A. They were a support group, not real friends. And none of them shared interests. Emily was into swimming, but no one else was. Hannah was into fashion, wanted to be a designer, but not any of the others. I mean, they had four distinct interests and they all went their four separate ways after high school. They wouldn’t have even got back into a friendship again if not for another A. Sooooo I think that’s why Aria should have been A. Because she wanted to punish them for not being real, true, genuine friends.

I hated how much time they put into Aria and Ezra (not even because of the student-teacher dynamic) I just didn’t like her for so many reasons. Making her A would’ve been great.

My main unpopular opinion is that The second A shouldn’t have been a single person, but a group of people. It’s totally impossible for a single person to pull off everything that A did throughout season 3 to 6. I wanted the A team to ACTUALLY be a Team lol, conformed by Ezra, Wren, Melissa, Paige, Jenna, Wilden, Shana and Cece. Unpopular opinion, if they would not have stretched the timeline and keep the characters teenagers forever. The timeline and mysteries would have made sense. For six seasons they could have ended the finale as the remaining characters dealing with the reveal of the total mystery as adults just starting their adult careers. The final season would have been a documentary coming to Rosewoods to bring the alive characters on the anniversary of Alison Dilaurentis death. The final season would have came from the perspective of the final A bosses. With the remaining alive liars interviews woven in between. The documentary crew would have came about by the leaking of the NAT tapes tying the timeline together on who was who on the night Alison died.

I think the problem with the show is that the writers just added a bunch of plots in the chapters just to make time to make the "Big reveal". Like you said the whole "Maggy and malcolm's" plot for Aria, when Ella's fiance flirted with Hanna when she was in the middle of her breakdown, the whole "Miss Aria You're A Killer, Not Ezra's Wife" I mean WHAT DID MAYA KNOW?? Also those plots are so unnecessary that no one ever talks about that anymore, they just forget. If they took out all of the unnecessary filling plots and actual worked on completing the plots they already had, the show would have been AMAZING. (Hope this makes sense, english is not my first language) love your videos and sharing my thoughts and theories with you because none of my friends like PLL.

I don't like Spencer and Caleb, but I don't understand why Spencer's getting the judgement here. If anyone should be disliked for the situation it's Hannah. Like Caleb and Spencer had feelings, they were two consenting adults. Like honestly Spencer didn't need to ask for Hannah's blessing but did so because she wanted to not hurt Hannah who REALLY shouldn't care because Hannah's engaged and so is Toby at this point. If Hannah accepted a ring it shouldn't matter who her single ex decides to date in the first place. If Hannah knew she had feelings for Caleb still, she should have told Spencer that she wasn't okay with it. Hannah is a grown ass woman, at least in her mid-20's. Not a teen. Like a grown ass woman she needs to own up to how she feels, instead of being Moody towards the pair and holding his hand right in front of Spencer. Like Caleb cheated on Spencer in that moment and it wasn't okay of him. As for Hannah a true friend wouldn't do that to you. She should own up to her feelings instead of expecting Spencer to drop a relationship without actually telling Spencer to. Like giving signs isn't mature. Say whay you feel, say what you mean, and there would be less issues here. I LOVE Hannah and Caleb together, but that doesn't justify what Hannah did and I want to what exactly Spencer did wrong because I don't get it.

Yes, Hanna should have been honest with herself, we’re not denying that, but if you see your friend (whom you’ve known for years and you guys know each other lie about things) isn’t really okay with it despite what she said, I just don’t think you should keep going even if they are in another relationship. Friends over everything else. Even Hanna said she wouldn’t do anything with Wren because he’s basically Spencer’s ex whatever even though she was with Toby.

I have a love-hate relationship with the whole idea of aria being A, like yes it would’ve been the shock that we wished for and an intriguing way to end the seven seasons but I feel like one thing that ppl don’t get is that if aria had been revealed as AD that would have ruined her character. Think about it, every single scene that had happened before that reveal, every single sparia, haria, emria and arison moment would never feel like the same and feel invalid knowing that all that time aria was hurting them all along.

I truly don't understand why the fans raved about these girls' friendship. They were in a typical toxic friendship group: just people you hangout with and talk to who you will lose contact with after high school and this show was mostly based in high school. They were brought together by Alison and had a surface level friendship. There was nothing deep between them since day 1. They were tortured and traumatized by essentially the same person so they had no choice but to lean on one another. The one thing they build together throughout the show was loyalty so it would be understandable that they would would feel betrayed and shocked if one of the liars/Aria was A but other than that, I feel no special bond between them. The writers missed out big time by listening to fans. I feel the same way with most of the main romantic relationships too. PLL was less storytelling and more fan service.

I think there's a lot you could do with it, if the books are something you're interested in. 2. The fashion. You've stated it was a major draw for you. It is for a lot of people. I'd really like your take on the worst in particular. I don’t think some of the ships were fan service. If people looked at the writing in season 6B, they would have seen that the writers were hinting at and setting up for at least Haleb and Ezria (Im not a fan of that ship) to get back together which is why those were the two ships to have a “moment” in 6x20. I get that people wanted a ship to be endgame, but it’s really getting old when people like to use fan service every time the ship they want to end up together isn’t in the writer’s plans. I know the writing for the mystery was questionable, but since they focused more on ships in the later seasons, they did at least do something in that regard, though some of the writing for other ships could have been done better.

I have actually started rewatching PLL (running out of media to consume during lockdown and it's a fun show) and was disappointed with the lack of KZbin commentary compared with other shows of that time. So excited I got recommended your channel, really enjoy your perspective on the show. I think everyone agrees that all the A reveals after Mona were lackluster, if not just plain non sense and disappointing, but would be interested (when you do the A video) to hear your perspective on if they kept the same people as A and A.D. how they could have handled it better. Like, for example, a better set up for Alex Drake than the horse saving the day lol if that makes sense.

Love these deep dives in to the show! Some of my opinions Caleb and Hannah are the best couple. Janet played Mona perfectly The time jump was done horribly. The reveal wasn’t as good as the build up. Season ratings best to worse 6,5,2,3,4,1,7 ☺️

love the vid! i just finished the series and one of my biggest issues is that there was barely any mention of hannah's eating disorder. they could have come up with an amazing storyline that was impactful and taught the audience something, but it was just brushed off. like she was the friend who liked to eat a lot and many of A's texts prayed upon her fear of body image, without an explanation on how she really felt about comments like that. it was just wasted potential that they could have used for her to confide in her friends and caleb even more.

Aria & Ezra were so annoying. Seriously. The ship would have sailed with literally ANYONE ELSE other than Ezra, especially Jason or Noel. Emily was better with Maya or Samara, I loved Hanna & Caleb, Spencer & Toby were cute, & Alison & Mona should've developed a friendship.

I hated HATED the way Hannah talked to people. She was always my least favorite in the later seasons. The way she would just do stuff on her own drove me crazy.

No, I'm sorry but Shay Mitchell is not an actress at all. You were talking about her lack of chemistry with Paige, and then I though : who does Emily has chemistry with ? Hmm.. NO ONE ! Not even the other girls, or other love interests, or... even her mom lol... If you look at Troian, something is always happening whoever she interacts with (Ezra, Caleb -that's why they made them a couple instead of anyone else-, Mona, even with Paige on season 3). The gap is huge between these two (between Troian and the whole cast yes, but especially with Shay)

I loved Caleb when he was Hannah‘s boyfriend even when they were broken up every time they broke up I still loved him. The only time I did not like him was when he dated Spencer, and for that time, I didn’t like Spencer either because I was always saying, why would you date your best friend’s ex-boyfriend? I know she gave you her blessing or whatever but it’s still makes no sense Because there’s a girl code. It’s a rule you don’t date your sister’s or your best friend’s ex you just don’t do it.

I’ve got a list 1. Ezra shouldn’t have been redeemed, he should’ve either died in New York or been written out, and then have Jason and Aria get together post time skip if they didn’t wanna commit to Ezra is A 2. I actually like Melissa Hastings, but it feels like they didn’t know if they wanted her to be strict sister who’ll do anything for her family or the perfect girl with a menace streak and a grudge who schemes to get revenge and cover her tracks, she seems to always be connected to A in some capacity, is there for most of the defining events pre disappearance and knows more than she says but she’s also willing to hide a murder to protect her sister, it’s so confusing but so is this show 3. I liked the Nate St.Germain plotline, the discovery of the body at the end of season 2 was a crazy way to end things but the build up to the reveal of Nate had me quaking! I figured it was gonna be him because he just appears and we see Maya getting those texts beforehand, and her meeting a guy at true north, it was so thrilling anyways

Also, I feel so bad for Mona. Sure she was "A" but all she wanted was to be their friends. Mike was one of my fave characters, I love how he challenged her about her relationship with Ezra (plus he had such a good glow up in s6) I much preffered Hanna in the beginning seasons.

This also plays into the fact the the liars needed to stop playing innocent and realized their actions hurt people. Neither them or Allison truly apologize for what they did or didn’t do in the past.

@@livinlifelibra3899 Their actions actually effected and affected the people they accused of being A. Noel, Lucas, Toby at one point in time got accused of hurting Ali in season 1, Melissa (well we could talk all night), Jenna (she was cruel but at least in season 4 she told Emily to tell Toby she was sorry for hurting him.), and others. Heck Andrew in 6A snapped at Aria and left town. Those guys/girls didn't just go crazy, it was the actions of the Liars that pushed them to that level.

I love all those ideas, I recently just finished PLL and completely agree with your Aria and Alison ending. I always said that when alison was dead it was WAY more thrilling, like having the ghost of a toxic friend in the heads of the girls was super scary and ICONIC, alsion still had so much control even gone, it just sucks that didn't carry on. But I did feel like Cece reveal left me with a sorta satisfied feeling but it sucks SO much they didn't continue with all the aria hints because that could of have been a MASSIVE game changer for the show x

I thought Sean’s characterisation was so... weird 😅. In the pilot, Hanna is the one trying to pressure him into sex, then it seems the writers were like “hmmm maybe our protagonist shouldn’t do that”, then they did a complete 180 on his character and made him a complete douche 😅

My unpopular opinions (sorry for the novel): - I don't like Hanna and Caleb's relationship. They had beautiful times, I'm not saying the opposite, and I actually believe they loved each other at some point, but honestly there were a lot of times where I thought to myself that Caleb should only have been his high school sweetheart. The more the seasons went on, the more their relationship irritated me. - That's not an unpopular opinion, but I wish Aria, or even Allison, was Big A. - Every time I listen to the show, I pass the moments between Aria and Ezra, because they make me uncomfortable. It would have bothered me less if they hadn't ended up together and had consequences for their relationship when she told her parents (like they call the police for example). - As much as I love Toby, I think the writers completely messed his character towards the end. I love the Toby from the first few seasons, his relationship with Spencer, his friendship with Emily. It just started to go wrong when they put him in the A team, and everything that has happened in the last few seasons with Yvonne and A.D. He definitely deserved better. - I loved Yvonne and I wanted her to survive so badly. I didn't want her to end up with Toby, but she deserved so much happiness. I liked Jordan a lot too. - Allison's return didn't bother me so much. I understand her change for her to be a better person after all she's been through, but I think it was poorly executed. - The relationship between Allison and Emily didn't bother me and the more I listen to the series again, the more I appreciate the fact that they divorced (revealed in the spin-off, that I have no plans to listen), because they weren't meant to be together. It shows that not all couples are meant to be. But their relationship was botched, even though they weren't supposed to stay together. - I liked the relationship between Caleb and Spencer, simply because it was refreshing, even though my favorite relationship is Spencer and Toby. - I have a love / hate relationship with all of the parents on the show, except Emily's parents, who I like. - I liked that Mary Drake was Spencer's birth mother, but I wish I had seen more and had more clues in previous seasons, as well as a real impact in Spencer's life. - I like Hanna, but she wasn't my favorite character. I wish the writers had developped Hanna's eating disorder (her struggles and her recovery (an healthy one)) and had a relationship with Mike. - I love Mona and the complexity of her character, but I didn't want her to be friends with the girls, the girls having been hurt so much by her. Besides, I would have liked us to see more about the fragility of the friendship of the four girls, because even if they all care about each other, they were all ready at one point to stab the others in the back. - If Noel hadn't been an asshole, I wish Aria had a relationship with him. On the other hand, I would have been interested to see her with Jason (especially if she had been Big A, it would have been interesting to see the outcome of all this). - I loved the relationship between Travis and Hanna and I would have preferred it to have been developed. - Honestly, Emily had such a flat relationship that for me, the one with Allison was the most exciting.

my unpopular opinion is that I actually really loved spencer and caleb together and wish they got more screen time. I still do really like caleb and hannah, and toby and spencer but I liked putting spencer and caleb together it just felt so different and new and actually entertaining

same. where hanna and caleb felt like they were two sides of the same coin, spencer and caleb were completely different and had an interesting dynamic and great chemistry. they could have been endgame imo.

The evil twin storyline freaked me out! My sister and I are identical twins. Even if I'd found out later in life and hadn't been raised with her...i can't imagine setting her up to get hurt or harassed or possibly killed. Like it's painful to even think about /because/ we're identical twins.

I honestly agree with so many of your opinions haha. Wasn't a fan of Paige but big agree that she gets more hate than other boring characters just cos she was a female which annoys me. I wanted Aria as A/AD sooo bad cos it would've been a twist that actually worked cos I agree, Lucy was planting seeds in her acting for years. Also big agree that the writing low-key always sucked - it was easier to overlook the first few seasons but it's painful to go back and watch all the big plotholes now - they really needed to actually have more of an overall plan for who A was IMO. Other than Mona (which was in the books) they seemed to just float about never having much plan for anything haha.

- I’ve never forgiven Aria for blowing up a Hanna for telling her she’s been sexually assaulted the other girls were dismissive too but what Aria did was so out of line. - I agree about Emily I love her character but the writers didn’t seem to know what to do with her aside from pairing her off. - I’d have loved to see more of the dollhouse! I thought it was a great setting and gave me hope that there was a big corporation doing a human experiment but alas - I think Alison’s “redemption” was realistic where I could see her becoming more docile over the time jump from the Charlotte trauma and Rollins grooming. But she should’ve stayed shady a la 5A before the time jump. - I really liked s5! How everyone reacted when Ali came back (esp Hanna! I thought it was really realistic) and how shady she was. I love court dramas and the dollhouse finale was so good.

I loved emo-ish Hanna! The style change and the black streaks in her hair! I hated that the girls once again let Alison completely take over when they all worked much better without her.

In the books, Emily gets sexually assaulted by her friend's father and then gets pregnant from a boy who's breaking up with her because his mother is being cruel to Emily and he believes his mom and not Emily. I guess that was too much drama for the show, so everything that's left is her hooking up with everyone and being too cute and too easy manipulated by the young Alison. At least she really gives people first (Toby) and second (Alison) chances. She's literally the purest character on the show and Samara and Maya really were the best for her.

Plus, I hated the fact that there were multiple A’s one after the other.. seems so unlikely. I honestly would love A to be Alison and not anyone else.
