Pansies are my favorites. My grandmother always had pansies in her garden. Yours are wonderful. I hope I live long enough to get as good as you are at rock painting. It's my greatest hope-after world peace, of course.☺ And the deer won't eat your pansies if you shave Irish Spring soap in among the flowers. Apparently they don't like the smell.

Rachel, that is absolutely gorgeous (lol seems like that’s all I ever say to you! 😂🤣). Pansies are especially dear to me as they were my moms favourite flowers. I have so many memories of her planting them, babying them, sending us kids out before bed to cover her flowerbeds in the spring and fall with old sheets to protect her little lovelies from frost, the way her face would just light up every time one would bloom...🥰 So many memories!! Love the rock too, I can totally see why you’d want to leave it natural ❤️

Hi, if you invest in a tube of Golden's heavy body yellow acrylic you will love it. It cost a little more but it will last.

Beautiful! Yellow is a transparent color so it will always be harder to cover undercolors especially with craft paints. Using white (as you did) or gray will give the best results.

Golden Cad. Yellow Med. Fluid Acrylic is really good. It is thinner than craft paint but has an amazing pigment load. I usually use a base coat of Titanium white so the yellow isn't muddied by whatever color is beneath it. And make sure your yellow is dry before adding the purple. Yellow and purple are compliments and when blended make... muddy grey!

If you add just a little bit of white to your yellow it will help keep it from being so transparent. I love your pansies, they are beautiful!

Wow they are gorgeous Rachael! You could get your major colors, red, yellow surely, black blue and white in Golden flow as you'll need less paint to cover. I use heavy body in my paintings but flow is better for this. You'd be surprised at how well Golden's flow, covers.

Hi Rachel! Your pansies are gorgeous. Regarding the yellow paint...Folk Art MultiSurface may work better for coverage, however, yellow is a translucent color and typically needs a couple of coats. Priming with white helps.
