I remember this album and this track getting a great deal of play at the time on WFMU in East Orange N.J. ... bought it back then and have it permanently etched in my memory to this day.

This is music with meaning, I just love the Pretty Things for their attitude and originality, better than the Stones ,..better than Oasis, better than ,..need I go on !!

Well it's because it's the center of sort of a suite with Singapore Silk Torpedo on either side of it, so if you heard it on the LP the track slipped back into the earlier track... it really is meant to be heard with that and Dream/Joey as an Album side rather than as a single edit... but yeah like this it is a bit jarring. At the time the DJ would either let it track or fade it into something else... I had the LP so I "hear it in my head" a bit differently than this presentation.

The Digital Millennial Copyright Act means this sort of Album side can't be played correctly now which is truly a shame... and this being a far less well known or available album now means it simply "disappears" from mainstream consciousness... when things are meant to be heard in a certain order, say like Dark Side or Sgt. Pepper's they were popular enough to have made it through to an audience, this one just not nearly as much.
