Brilliant! Thank you for this, Makes me remember when I went to Marple a loooong time ago. Just visiting of course, we were staying in Manchester and made a trip to Marple. When in Manchester a homeless person asked me how much I've made, implying that I looked homeless. I gave him all the change I had and made him a very happy man :-)

Hi Jen, I came across your channel from G Loves Trains video where you did train v tram. Very interesting, I like the way you present things and what you have to show.

Ah my local area. I love the canal and its view especially the aqueduct and viaduct. Back in the day there was no fence on the other side and I used to worry people would fall off who used to jump over. Thankfully no one ever did. Glovestrains also did this walk. ☺️The walk from Marple to New Mills is loverly which ever route you take.

I think they put them up after a kid fell from the aquaduct in 2015

Was Lorna having a sugargasm towards the end at the Swizzels Factory? Really enjoy the music in this one flows with the video and a lot of flowing water as well but the ONE thing that made me laugh was the sign that suppose to say Canal Restoration with the C scratched off! 😂😂

"Have I mentioned I like water?" You actually prefer hot water in which some roasted coffee beans have been soaked.

Thanks for actually bothering to visit Romiley. A lot of people think its rather... insignificant however the railway line that runs through it was constructed rather early on into the beginning of the railways. For instance, Romiley was opened in September 1842 by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway.

4:13 - Lorna channels Jamie Hyneman's "Quack, damn you!" 6:25 - Jen channels GLovesTrains' love for flowing water ... or it's all just pure coincidence :)

Lovely video Jen and well done! 👏 Yep...The surface on sections of that Mersey riverbank path is a nightmare. Bad enough for us walkers and worse for cyclists. Especially the parts where they have used broken bricks on the surface! Ankle busting! 😠
