***** I only semi know what it was like from observing my aunts and uncles because I was only 6 when this movie came out. & it looked fun from the way they were acting with the dancing and everything, music seemed to be more creative. I just remember playing with my Gi joes & thunder cats an hearing them play music like this on the radio, and the breakin movie would also re run on HBO even up to the 90's. So when I hear music from it, it just brings back good memories of what I was doing at that time. Like when I think of careless whispers by Wham I remember my mother surprising me with a toy or my dad getting me something. That's why when I got into my 20's I started buying all this old school 80's R&B, RAP & NEW WAVE MUSIC.

Believe it or not even though I was young I do remember those songs from the 80s and remember trying to break dance when I was a kid after I saw the movie Beat Street!
