It's easy to sail to the Bahamas from Florida. Just take a boat from Palm Beach for a "three hour cruise" and never come back. There are 100s of islands just hours away. From there, she could have fled to Vietnam easily. Lots of international flights depart from Nassau. She wouldn't have been detained because no one would have known she'd left the US until it was too late. But Mrs. Big Shot wanted to fly Emirates Business Class.

Many people have commented on this. The guy is retired as an undercover agent now. He probably retired shortly after the Adelson bump after more professional types heard the audio tapes. He may have been pulled in from the FBI at the last moment. BTW the TSP don't like working with the Miami police - there's so much corruption down there. That limited options to them.

A hygienist who worked with him at the time of the bump etc, said that Charlie was obsessed with keeping his phone on at all times, even leaving patients in the chair in the middle of a procedure to take phone calls. The hygienist now knows why....he HAD to know every little thing going on to protect himself. She also said a dentist, periodontist etc, are never ever to leave their patients in a vulnerable position like that. Craziness! Edit: the hygienist was on STS (Surviving the Survivor)

What a piece of work is Charlie, truly. He has convinced himself that he deserves to be free because, in his mind, they failed to PROVE the case AS HE KNOWS IT. He’s BIG MAD that he got convicted, but they didn’t get the entire plot and all its machinations exactly right - and he somehow believes that qualifies as “reasonable doubt.” Hilarious. He is so angry in the calls to Donna in the days immediately following his conviction - and it’s entirely evident that is his major bone of contention - they didn’t know the whole story, so how could they convict?! Never once does he express regret or remorse for Dan’s brutal murder, or, perhaps more tellingly, that he is innocent. Nope - only that they got the story wrong. He is furious with Georgia for nailing his hide to the wall, when he considers her well beneath him in both status and intellect. The pride, arrogance and hubris is exactly what will bring the entire family back together - behind bars. What a lovely, wholesome ending to a miserable, ugly story.
