This is a real help for me. I now know we really need to build in more storage, wherever we can. With a very small home, there is an even greater challenge to stay uncluttered and organised. I'm considering a closet on either side of the sofa in the living room - one with cleaning supplies, and the other with bathroom supplies. They can be built in with panelling, and disguised.

*Observations* . Ms. Sherri, I have been watching you for a long time (not in a creepy way). I remember the first cleaning closet vid. I have no idea what you are going through. I, as an INFJ, recognize patterns. I see accumulation, and purge. I'm no psycho-analyst or behaviorist, I'm an observer. I see you attempting to micro-organize every small detail. I wonder how much energy that takes. I did the binder system in my 20's, it was great. I can't identify why I ever stopped. It was visual, tangible and worked well. As an introvert of 57 years, I've experienced the pendulum swing of poverty/survival, success/stress and a happy balance. When I decided to sell my four bedroom 2.5 bath colonial and move into a 1300 squ.ft. ranch, it changed my life. You have a large home. It's beautiful. Your kids are living their lives. I believe you have stated in the past, In-Laws live in the basement and your home has provided shelter for family in need. I understand the sacrifices you made in caring for your Mother. I've reached a point in life where embracing freedom is life altering. For me, downsizing was liberating. ~Much Love~ C

Once you get your home organized a weight will be lifted off your shoulders. I have been working on getting my home organized for the past 6 months. I had all my mom’s “crap” after she died, then I was diagnosed with cancer and went through a year of chemo. I have one more area to go through and I’m will be done. I’m not leaving a bunch of stuff my kids will have to go through when I’m gone. The MsBlue jewelry is really pretty

The jewlery is so dainty from Ms Blue. They would make wonderful graduation gifts . Keeping track of expenses is alot easier now that we're retired. When we owned a Mom and Pop Drying Cleaning business we kept everything written down. Getting rid of things I don't use , seems to give me a calming feelling. Ms. Blue. 😉 I started decluttering a few years ago and it took about 2 years before I felt like it was at a level I was happy with. I too had so many different cleaning and beauty products. I purged most of it. I created a spreadsheet with the products I truly needed to clean each room etc.I made myself make a decision as to what I needed and where I buy it. I have to say most of it I order from Amazon. I keep my inventory low and shopping takes me less than 5 minutes. I no longer have all of that swirling around in my head. It is all on my household management spreadsheet. 😝

Another inspiring video! Just this week I have eliminated probably over 100 pairs of shoes and boots that while they are gorgeous, they no longer fit! Part of my working wardrobe and I retired over five years ago, so why am I keeping them? Have cleared out tons of clothes and my next area will be my storage area over our shop. Pen and paper for finances. There are so many free pdf printables for budgeting. I started with keeping track of all purchases for one month. Eye opening😳. From there I created our budget. I budget by only using a certain amount of cash each month. My husband does the grocery spending of a certain amount each month. Credit cards are use only for larger purchases and paid off each month. Major purchases are discussed. We have been married forty years and it works great. We do one in one out no excess storage that’s what the grocery store is for (inventory).

I love watching both of your channels. Thank you for sharing! In return, I will share a cleaning tip I recently learned. Use the Sprayway glass cleaner on your stainless steel appliances. I’m told it works better than stainless steel cleaner and you can eliminate one product from your cleaning closet. 🎉 I don’t have stainless steel appliances, but shared the tip with a friend who was struggling and she said it worked like a dream. Spray one door at a time - not the entire piece - so the product doesn’t dry. I’m cheering you on as you continue your decluttering journey!

I picked up some iDesign clear plastic bins for both my cleaning supply shelves & pantry. Label on the front for category & so easy to slide out & check the contents for when I’m running low or don’t need to buy on sale. Don’t have the luxury of making a supply run every week, so I do buy in bulk to get me thru a month or 6 weeks between, but it was too easy to overbuy until my rack & stack bins

I am about to embark on this same decluttering/organizing journey. I decided to donate my stuff to three local charity shops. IMO this will help people get some nice stuff for cheap and provide money for the charity missions. It feels good every time I take a car load in to donate. 😊 I have a long way to go but one day at a time. Hope to be done by fall 2024. I sell on eBay but Im only going to sell the things of mine that tie in with my normal inventory which s women fashion accessories. The rest gets donated. My cleaning products involve Dawn dishwashing liquid, vinegar & water in varying strengths. This works for windows, floors, counters, dish prewash, laundry stains, dishes & shower scum cleaner just to name a few. I have a bottle made up of 50/50 Dawn and vinegar for shower and bath soap scum. A 50/50 mix of water/vinegar with a tsp of Dawn for everything else. I use the latter mix in a spray bottle with a damp mop to clean floors fast. (No bucket). I make up the latter mix by the gallon so it would then be 50/50 water/vinegar and a TBS of Dawn if making a full gallon. A clean home has no smell. I use Borax to clean inside toilets too. Borax is also good for soap scum. I have very few products to store. Saves alot of money too. Hope this helps someone. I know we all like our nice smelly products but there are many other ways to bring scent into a space.

Not here for the give away. Just wanted to let you know you are doing great, the only times I ever feel overwhelmed is when my home is not put together properly. I like keeping our appliances, furniture receipts, any thing that has a manual with it in a fire box. That way if something happens I have everything in one place plus for insurance purposes I try keeping them organized in the box alphabetically. Hope this helps

Hey, Sheri - loving your tips and suggestions for all this. A friend from work showed me how she created a spreadsheet for her expenses and I’ve tried to adopt this method. However, as someone who shops at Walmart almost exclusively, I find my receipts contain a variety of things including dog food, clothing, cleaning supplies, tools, gifts, appliances, etc. Any suggestions on how to separate these things for budgeting while accounting for taxes on the budget items? I’ve tried several times to sort it out but it gets so time consuming that I lose interest quickly.
