You are the first KZbinr I’ve seen splice there. Seems usually the splice at the end of the wire in the air handler. This does seem easier you didn’t have to open the unit. Thanks.

Weird they didn't put switches on the pan when they were installed. I like to put a switch on the secondary drain also, that way you have double protection. Looks like a lot of the screws for the air handler door was missing.

Especially in that situation, safety switches should be installed

Video shows you install two times. You install two switches on one unit? You should draw diagram wire on the paper to show people easy understand.
