I can’t wait to see part two. Those guys look like serious musicians-very good review.

Why wasn't the session recorded here so we could all hear it as well as how the speakers played it back

Because they can't make money from clicks if they use misic.....orrrrr... it wasn't that great sounding.. if they were truly trying to prove the point, they would have done what you suggested..

The playback session was not set up to be recorded via high quality mics through the console.

We are paid about $35 by YT for these videos. So, YT monetization is not the issue, it is that the playback session was not recorded by the studio. And, of course, there is the issue of YT compression and bit rate. And the issue of two recordings/playbacks vs one.

Lack of resonances especially in the bass? I can't find cabinet designed specifically mentioned at their site. But it appears to be a sealed cabinet. No ports, tubes, tunnels, passive radiators,... to add that bass bloat, delayed rear wave energy release. Sealed cabinets are inherently tighter better defined bass.

Sealed speakers do have tighter bass with less extension. He's addressing a lack of resonance from the cabinet itself.

Do you know the name of the spot lights that were used on the floor to illuminate the speakers? Thanks

Lots of high end speakers to compete against. Uphill battle.

A toy for the rich to show off. Just because you organize a material battle doesn't mean it's good in the end. I didn't hear anything special in the video that I can't find in speakers that cost a fraction of the price. I'm pretty sure that a company like that will never put out a white paper like Kef does where you can see the features. It's all about a nice story with the formula one and the rich snob can then pass it on to his other snob friends

Would have been a perfect time to use a stereo miking technique like ORTF or X/Y. Or just two mic's set as far apart as the speakers would then be. Get rid of the close mic'd mix down difference.

Your thumbnail person is probably listening to all the top advice. Maybe I'm outlier, but big question marks are an immediate "do not recommend channel" for me.

While I respect companies for thinking outside the box, I see no value in using Formula 1 tech in speaker design unless these are going to move at 200mph, it's all MARKETING HYPE to justify the price.

My experience is that all hi-end "F1" speakers designs usually sucks. They sell fairy tails of technical perfection and with usually unlistanable performances. Like Magico's, some B&W800 series. Hyped Borresen also have some strange anomalies in their sound. But you are paid for your opinion and I am not. BY so far the attempts to make a great violine from hi end, hi tech materials and executions drastically FAILED! Paper based cones and memebranes and wooden cabinets (not MDF) are still far the best for natural tambre. No need to rediscover hot water by "F1" approches in speakers design. But good for rich, half deaf snobs.

Name dropping inside a recording studio with no real review of the speakers! Tom, you spent more time talking about the band than the speakers- and what does racing have to do with HiFi?
