I could watch him paint for hours. Very sad he’s no longer with us, but his paintings will live forever.

I can tell you are a master water colour artist by the way you use your brush and handle the water content. You made a very significant comment about not using enough water and so creating a rather dull matt effect. As I’m self taught I have been struggling for sometime trying to produce that lovely translucent water colour effect and never quite achieving it. But I found that by working on dry paper using plenty of water and allowing your brush to do the work, as you suggest, gives you much more control and a far more pleasing outcome. So I wish I had watched your videos a lot sooner. For anyone who loves floral as much as I do this is a wonderful tutor. Thank you.

WoW! I have several of the pieces in this set up, the Victorian Hot Water Bottle, Victorian Glass Bottles, Ceramic Bottles (I use in the kitchen) flowers from the garden and we all have the luscious Peppers & Veg. I have been able to set up my still life like the one here which is such a Great Help and has opened my eyes to where I was going wrong. Massive Thank You 🌷✏️🎨🖍 Blessings to Charles Reid and his family. He is greatly missed.

Wow. Can't believe I have discovered you on KZbin. You and your books taught me over here in the Uk to paint in water colour. Thank you. I have all your books. Enthralled with your work. So special to see you. Stay safe.

Fascinating! I am interested to see that you use a very wet brush. Maybe that's where I've been going wrong. I love the effect.
