I feel like the words “Nexus” and “Madness” better correlate to Wanda. BUT I think this show will be necessary in setting us up to better understand the meaning of the Multiverse, establishing the TVA and the TimeKeepers, and the impact the creation of the Multiverse will have on the MCU’s set timeline. It’s doesn’t have to mean that Loki is directly involved in causing that event.

My hypothesis: Loki saw that the TVA is "always watching" (the propaganda posters through the episode) so he used that to his advantage in the final exchange with Mobius (he was playing to the "audience"). He also realizes that the most powerful position that he could have (more powerful than the infinity stones) was to control the TVA. The "variant" that they are after is a future version on him. He doesn't want to burn down the TVA he wants to rule it and possibly create the multiverse.

There is no future version of Loki he died at the hands of Thanos that never changes, to have a future you have to be on the timeline and this Loki doesn't exist in the timeline and can not go back to it, just as The TVA doesn't exist in time that's why the Infinity stones are just pointless paper weights to them, therefore the Loki they are chasing would have to be either a Loki from way way in the past before the MCU Loki existed otherwise this Loki would know it was him they were chasing, or one from the Multiverse that somehow broke through despite the TVA saying it no longer exists, they either know it does exist and are lying or are being lied to by the TIme keepers.

Also, what happened with Gamora? The one that currently lives in the OG MCU is just the one from the other timeline. So why isn’t TVA concerned about that? TVA doesn’t seem to have any regard for variants. They see them as subhuman and abominations. Literally one variant can erased for not having a ticket. That is why they really have no regards for killing them so easy. That jar they dropped after grabbing loki deleted a whole new multiverse that would have created essentially killing infinite people. small scale time travel or pulling people from other time lines like gamora is to small scale for them to care about. They only cared for loki long enough to see if he had a case for what he did(didnt know what he did so he was uselss) and they would have deleted him, buuut story has to happen so owen says he can be useful and it will play out. Shaky sure, have to give a little leeway with time travel. Combined with bad writing... a bigger issue of the show.

Two cool details from the infinity stone scene 1. Could be hard to see, but there were no soul (orange) stones in the desk (they could be the ones that look red but it’s hard to see), it shows how many people didn’t go through with the method of getting it. 2. The scene is seen comedically for the fact that the stones are used a paperweights, but it’s more significant and depressing for Loki. Loki has been fighting to be the most powerful being in the universe. But even if he succeeded or even he all the infinity stones, he still wouldn’t even come close to what the TVA is capable of. This breaks Loki and extremely humbled him to realize how little he has done.

My theory is that the stones + gauntlet in the hand of a being strong enough, like Thanos, still are more powerful than the TVA, but the ones in the evidence cart no longer work, because they're "variants" and the originals can't be fully duplicated without the Celestials. Notice that there were individual stones but no gauntlet to wield them together. A soul stone appears over some papers in the credits scene, btw.

Have to admit, at first I was starting to get a wee bit annoyed at how the writers had the TVA treating Loki. We'd just spent over ten years watching Loki be built up from a standard, moustache-twirling villain to a _very_ complex character who was extremely dangerous precisely because of how clever he was. And then all of a sudden, he's being chumped constantly. I was starting to wonder if they'd did our boy very dirty in this, in their attempt to show us how powerful the TVA is supposed to be. But I loved the whole escape sequence. Not because it reassured me that Loki the character was still as clever as ever. It was because as everyone is looking for him, the rest of the TVA is still acting the same arrogant way they had throughout the episode. Except for Moebius. The moment he realised that Loki had not just escaped, but was on the loose, Moebius was scared. Not only does this let us know that Loki is still as clever and as dangerous as ever, it also was a nice subtle way to show us that Moebius was completely truthful when he said that he knows what Loki is capable of. That kind of writing is just...*chef kiss*. I have almost no concerns left about this season.

The retro camera look/set design reminds me of a film that Tom Hiddleston was in (where they may have got a little design inspiration from) called High-Rise. It's a good but weird film set in a High-rise block of apartments in the 70's.

While watching this episode, I was reminded of the Time Masters from DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which featured Arthur Darville, Rory from Doctor Who. I wouldn't mind seeing a reference or two from either of those shows.

I think what hitting me the hardest about this story of Loki is already believing what you’re born to do in this world compared to what you where REALLY meant to do because i have always believed I would grow up firend less with past friendships not panning out, being stabbed in the back (forming trust issues to this day with myself working on them) and every new one I try to make always fall though, but i know in time like what loki said himself, “the sun will shine upon you/us again”

I think the gap between when he watches his death and when Owen Wilson comes back in the room was years. It was said repeatedly that time runs differently there (especially since he had the collar off). I think that was all the time Loki needed to plot a way to pull one over on them. Episode 6 we get a flashback to that moment.

I think the minutemen don't realize that when they reset a timeline they effectively kill the people of that time by destroying it. I could be wrong tho, but I fine it interesting that they never show what the reset device does when they took Loki. Maybe really bad Loki is seeking revenge for their timeline being destroyed.

I don't think it just makes that timeline not existing, but its destroyed/recked, and that the hunted Loki is from a destroyed "timeline" not necessary errased. I think miss minutes info might be more propaganda than fact. Might be wrong, hope I am, cause that makes the show that much interesting.

The explanation for the Infinity Stones I read is because magic doesn't work in the TVA as we know but infinity stones only work in their native timelines/universes and some of those timelines have been erased which is reason for the numerous stones.

If other Loki(s) are already out there causing a ton of branch realities all over the past, the multiverse is already being created. By Lokis. And I think he realized if he goes back, he never rules, and these people apparently control his fate. So if he rules the TVA _he_ controls his fate, but also everyone else's. Exactly what this Loki wants. And I don't think its a coincidence the person (people, I think its multiple alternate Loki's, Lady Loki, King Loki, young Loki etc) I think he's going to be the one to have started that (wibbly wobbly) to create chaos and take over. Either that or another version of him did, and his hero arc will be realizing how toxic being Like That is, its literally breaking reality. Or or, they're _all_ independently trying to take over and the big CGI fight at the end will just be a giant Loki war lmfao

Rana from the Normies pointed out something I didn't even think of. When the French kid points to the devil mosaic as the person who killed those guys, everyone's joking that it's Mephisto. But notice the mosaic has horns just like OG Loki's headpiece. Maybe *that* is why the kid pointed to it.
