The ICC has been relaying or doing work on the pitches at the host venues so we don't necessarily know how they will play. Also the semifinal in Trinidad won't necessarily be a low scoring affair, England scored 250+ there only last December. Alot of the games at the Brian Lara Stadium are high scoring.

Looks like there is world cup almost every year or so. This just dilutes the enthusiasm. Tbh i would like if there is a 50 over champions trophy and 20 over world cup with many teams every four years. Just end the 50 over world cup. Or end the 20 over and increase the teams in 50 over and organise those every 4 years. World cups should be not held so regularly. The amount of leagues all over the world fulfills the appetite for T20 so the ODI world cup every 4 years makes sense. What do you guys think?

Jesus lads you'd swear it was only a ten team World Cup again, any chance of discussing the other teams at all?

For real man. The disrespect they have to associates and just assuming the top 6-7 will be the only ones that win. This mentality they have is why cricket is struggling to grow

23:25 why do you pretend that there are ‘people on the outside’ ? It’s really only you and people of your ilk. If the paying public thought it was a ‘yawn’ then the games wouldn’t be to full stadia and 10 second ad-spots wouldn’t be for a crore. Case in point, the last two days the attendance at Ahmedabad was 90,000 and 87,000 in 45C heat. It was certainly not easy to be at the stadia, yet people came. Remember, other countries only supply 10% of the money and 5% of the crowds. If that’s dwindling, then so be it. You should worry when crowds in India start thinning and ad-revenue starts dropping for cricket in India - be it Tests or white ball. Only then will cricket start to decline. Else it will continue to be propped where it needs propping, new countries will keep getting added in T20, and better facilities will keep getting made. Also, more cricketers will earn more than ever before, every year. It is a fact for India at all levels of domestic cricket, and it is a fact for international cricketers in other countries. First class cricketers in Eng, Aus and NZ are already well-paid. Second, why do you keep inviting a cynical reprobate like Butcher? Let him go and spread his negativity in his kitchen garden. Get sparkling, new voices - voices like Ponsonby, who travels to uncomfortable places and narrates with fidelity and charm. Or some of the recently retired players like Broady - he is going to be a star. Let go of these tired colonial people like Butcher who view anything that is not the white commonwealth to be unworthy.

I think the ICC Silverware count, of each team, makes it clear, that even when pommy, and other countries, pundits, think lack of preparation, lack of format experience, over reliance on players they do not think are suited, and every other bit of nonsense they sprout.....is not worth the breath used to voice it, when it comes to Australia. It could all be true, and Australia will not care, they will play, and win... and if they are bounced out from tournament without progressing, they'll shrug, nod, and admit that was the case.... but the records are what they are.... and irrespective of IPL or other league form, or lack of format experience.... when your bowling attack reads Starc, Hazelwood, Cummings.... in any format, across any tournament, anywhere in the world... that alone is potentially enough to win you the day. When you have Head, and Marsh and Maxwell... who steps in to the phone booth and takes off this suit and glasses very often when pulls on the Green and Gold... then again, if they are in the zone... even if just ONE of them is... that too, can be enough to carry the day. But they have them all. And Agar, and Stoinis, and Warner, and Zampa... and just tweaked the squad to add the kid... as you call him... Jake Fraser McGurk to the roster.... .....if you have any questions about them being at least odds equal favourites, perhaps besides India.... then it is bias, not anything the Australian team does or does not have on paper. As an Aussie, I do not think they'll win... I think they are probably just a bit over it all.... even if they seem excited... a lot of Cricket, and a lot of BIG matches in the last year or so, for many of the team....the heart and skill might be there, and but perhaps the energy and the mind, might be a bit lacking.....but even then, there's no way they are not favourites, equal likely along with India (sorry I do not think England can defend this one either), BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS FAVOURITES, if you think they ever arent, you have not been paying attention for the last 150 years of international Cricket.

Terrible podcast. Show some respect to other countries, too much Big 3 mentality here. Hopefully England crashes just like the 50 over WC
