She was trying to lure the bear into the beaver dam and trap it with that one arrow. She used herself as bait. Fits the context , hunters , traps and bait. Part 1 , Part 2 and Predators with Adrien Brody , had the bait and trap scenes. It's part of the Predator theme. The movie seems to be awesome.👍

Finally a movie I am actually genuinely excited to see! Already hope there will be follow up movies if this turns out to be like what the comic story line follows! Potentially cool insight into Yautja way of life stuff we never really see . That axe-rope trick... well I'll allow for a 'suspension of disbelief', this is Hollywood. Doesn't seem like the typical Hollywood woke garbage (I guess we will see..) considering I believe this is based off a comic and hasn't added those elements for the sake of being 'woke'... unless they chose the comic because it already had that in it :p Haven't actually read the comic, only heard about it.

Okay, this is how you deal with a Grizzly. Climb a tree, and when it comes up the tree to get you, stab it in the head. This is why I always carry a Bowie knife, a brick, and a pointed stick. I'm not saying that you will survive, but this way you have a damn good chance of killing the bear.

I’m guessing you wouldn’t be climbing inverted with your head facing the ground. So you would barely reach your feet with the knife. The Grizzly would be climbing up head first - so could easily reach up to your waist and stomach with those claws. I cant see this working unless you were upside down and then your head is within reach of those claws. Its a very slim chance - but better than the alternative I guess.

Grizzlies can't climb trees because they can't retract their claws, so yes, it's a good idea to climb a tree. Assuming you can move faster than a bear that can hit 30 mph in a sprint. Oh, one other important thing to note; if the tree isn't about 4 feet thick and well rooted, the grizzly will knock it over and then then kill you.

Really good point! Maybe showing her growth and demonstrating how much she will yet learn?? I'd assume any Grizzly hunting would have been done primarily in a tree. Going after it on ground, to me, doesn't necessarily hunting skill but recklessness. Even Predators hunt from trees, so clearly there is honor/respect found in that method.
