Hot toys does amazing detail, but I've never got a Hot toys figure due to their price. I'd rather buy 4 neca figures for the same price

Agreed. NECA nowadays is a bit more expensive than they used to, and the QA... well, it just straight sucks a lot of the time. Tons of stuck legs and gummy joints. But when they do good, they really done one helluva job. Tons of detail, which was always rather impressive, especially when you consider the prices they went with back in the day. I do find their older figures better in quality, though - especially the AvP line. I love me a good Hot Toy, but NECA will always have a special spot in my heart, they are my favourite figure company. Also, I did not know HIYA doesn't have the license anymore. Shame. I really, really enjoyed their Predators & Xenomorphs. This one, Feral, I think they did an absolute killer job with it! Was especially surprised to see magnets. Can't wait to finally get my hands on this! Thanks for the video.

Always hated the HIYA toys ones. The first figure I got from them came with a melted paint job and I never liked the scale they used. Too small.

Posing the Predators suck, but it was never really a deterrent for me - always gave them a bit of a break on that front, especially in that scale. Their Xenos pose a looot better, though.

I really hope neca keeps making predators. They are the best ones on the market for their price range. And I’d even say compared to some more expensive ones. They also need to release the ultimate version of wolf. It would also be awesome to see them make some more original designs. The alpha predator was so sick.

Very cool Figure!. Waiting for mine to ship - supposedly this month. Really nice selection of accessories. Didn’t know that the spear gun was magnetic!. Good job figuring that one out. Also great job finding out about the “S” hooks. Not having instructions for these things I can see how most people would probably miss these details. I really hope they don’t lose the license because they’re figure have always been amazing. My only complaint about NECA is that THEY NEED TO DO MORE HUMAN CHARACTERS MY GOODNESS. I would love to have Harrigan (From predator 2), Billy from the original, Naru & Taabe (from Prey), etc. I have the same issues with their terminator series of figures that we don’t get human characters (I know they made a Sarah & Kid John connor but goodness gracious how long did it take)

I think Neca have done a stellar job as they always do with their Predator line, but, when you showed the size comparisons should the Feral Predator really be that big??It does look over scaled next to the other Predators? Fantastic video, thank you for sharing.

Feral has a more slender built compared to other preds, especially the torso, neck and head are more stretched out. Even irl, the actor's head was inside Feral's lower neck instead of inside the head like previous Predator suits. So I'm pretty sure the size is accurate and Feral is actually that tall.

@@CheeseRunner The actor playing Feral Predator is 4-5 inches shorter than Kevin Peter Hall and Ian White, who played the Predators from the original through AVP Requiem. That pretty much evens out much of the height difference between Feral and a lot of the other popular Predators, so they should be similar in scale.

@@windowsVD True but Feral's head and upper neck add far more than 5 inches, it honestly might be close to a whole foot in extra height. When you look at bts pictures you can see how much extra padding the suit has in order to compensate and get the proportions right.

Preorded this guy with the Entertainment Earth partnership on AVPG ;) Figure looks great aside from the usual NECA bs (i am a harsh critic lol). I'm glad they went full-ham and released him with multiple hands, jaws, and accessories... rather than just a basic figure. Dang those hooks you mentioned are an awful idea! I'm glad you saw them on the floor before your cats did! hahahaa Kinda happy NECA is loosing the license at this point. They've done like everything. Wish Hiya was still making them as they never got to Fugitive or Feral :'( I really like Hiya's little figures personally and they are smaller-space-collector-friendly given their size. AWESOME review as always!

Wow, look at you! Feral must be really special if they got you to preorder him (with that awesome EE partnership with AVPG!) Yeah, those hooks were just waiting for Rigby to swallow or swat away into oblivion to never be found again. Not sure why they chose to go that route aside from streamlining the design. Maybe Hiya will get the license back! I know they're going hard into Godzilla right now, which I can't complain about. But it would be awesome if they did both Godzilla, Alien & Predator! I might have to wait a few more weeks before the figure for purchase from my hobby store. Two things I will say is: First off, the photos showcasing the feral predator figure last year showed he had a few more accessories like the netball and the cut-clamps guess they couldn’t add in. Second I am hoping that with neca gets to make their own samurai themed predator. Prime1 studio, play arts kai, figma toys and hot toys made their own samurai predator with different designs, so neca should create their own unique samurai predator as well.

Yeah, they tend to do that sometimes. Showing off more accessories than they deliver. But then in an alternate model or variant they give you the omitted accessories. But it could have been licensing that denied those pieces as well. A samurai Predator from NECA would be awesome!

I really don't want NECA to 'lose' the license. I'm not sure if there is any other company that pulls off Predators like they do. Maybe Hot Toys, if they start producing them again, maybe some re-releases + Feral. Was never a massive fan of how some of the old ones looked, to be fair... but that's as far as aesthetics go - quality was always there. I wanna say Mezco could be a great replacement for NECA, if they put in a bit more 'effort' into making their Predators more screen accurate. The only Predator I have from Mezco, is the Predator 2 MDS Deluxe City Hunter. It's honestly an absolutely fantastic figure, and I despise the big-headed style of figures. Superb details, especially on the bio-mask. It ended up being one of my favourite figures that I own. Highly recommend! Their one:12 Jungle Hunter also looks incredible, but, again, could be way more screen accurate.

Their Jungle Hunter is good, but can definitely use some improvements in some areas. Mezco will probably get better and better if they make more Predators. I'm curious to see how Hot Toys turns out. I'm tempted to put that one on preorder...

if you want it screen accurate take your extra Neca Jungle hunter Predator bio mask and it will fit on the mezco and it's then almost 100% accurate . you need to heat it up a bit and thats about all.

Also, a tip I would give is to put a bowl or plate underneath the candle. The wax LITERALLY bleeds out at one point and will get everywhere if there is nothing to catch it. Not speaking from experience at all or anything...

Awesome review, my son and my figures should be here today. Really hope Neca keeps Predator and Alien license. But hasn’t been looking good for that, especially with Alien line. Mcfarlane would be next company I would want to get them. He has done really well with DC stuff, and his figures are in scale with current Predator and Alien line. Since his Fortnite figures , the lines have been 7 inch scale.

A little late to the comment section here; but I agree that this is one of NECA's best character representations of film to figure. Just super awesome of us Predator collectors. I hope that NECA isn't done making them. Just like your video commentary mentions that we would probably see another variant or so of NECA Feral Predator, we have the upcoming SDCC exclusive being the 3rd release of Feral. *If NECA has no further announcements for the license, I suppose McFarlane Toys would potentially come to mind?

At the time of making the video it was quite uncertain if NECA was going to continue, but now nearly a year later we've seen multiple releases of Feral. It's likely that they are just slowing down on Predators and focusing on more specific releases, because if they'd lost it, they'd not be making all the variants of Feral we've seen. Thankfully they are still going ahead, and hope we see more remasters of some of their earlier Predator figures in Ultimate form!

I reckon neca should give predator a rest for a few years to bring us something completely new for a while, then go back to predator after they give us new stuff. Depending on what they get the licenses for. They could give us new terminator figures, avatar, star wars just to name a few. They give us lots of horror figures but they should do something else for a while.

The polish wore off and the figure is still the way it is just as I opened it out of the box - the left hand is still loose when he's holding the blunt side of the spear.

The jungle hunter 1:12th they did is amazing and IMO better than that of neca even with their ultimate version mezco knock him out of the park, imo……except of course the pitting in his mask are too deep. My only gripe however.

Nice video and review. Speaking as someone who photographs these figures (rather than collecting them) The Neca predators have a better paint job and wet look that makes the figure look organic and alive. I was disappointed with the Mezco version, which had a dry, matt finish on the body and more limited range of motion (so I rejected the offer to photograph it). Many of the Neca predators can look pretty good if lit correctly. Just my 2c. :)

Oh I hope neca keeps the license for predator. Don’t get me wrong Mezco makes amazing figures but I much rather get a great predator figure for under $50 then have to get t is well over $100. And like say, yes mezco does make amazing awesome figures but I’m very happy with neca stuff as is. Hope they license def know my wallet is demanding it. I never even considered that Neca could end up losing the license. Neca’s predator line is what got me into collecting figures. I think it’s an absolute shame that Neca decided they wanted to divert 90% of their resources into TMNT at the expense of their horror lines.

McFarlane and early NECA are what got me into serious collecting as well. It would be sad to see them let it go. But if they take a break and come back that's a different story!

I hope neca do the beserker predator in ultimate form before they are done with the line, wolf also. I just really hope now the pred licence is with disney, that they dont give it to hasbro like their marvel and star wars figure lines. Hasbro suck hard.

That's a great looking figure, loved the Prey film & definitely plan on getting this when it releases here in Australia. The scale does seem a bit off compared to Elder Greyback, if anything they should be around the same height. Even with the larger neck of Feral, Kevin Peter Hall (Elder) was several inches taller in real life than Dane DiLiegro (Feral). So not sure why there's such a big size difference with the figures. Great review btw & thanks for showing everything in detail.

Yeah, he’s quite big and I was a bit caught off guard by that at first. It’s not even that his head and neck are taller, he’s taller at the shoulders too. He’s a big boy! Hope you can get your hands on one, it’s a great pick up. Thanks for watching and the kind words!

Yeah I don't think NECA scaled their Predators based on actor heights. If they did the Jungle and City Hunters would be taller than all other movie Predators. And they'd be taller than all movie Xenomorphs too.

@@a-dev3503 The scaling definitely seems off considering how much shorter the Elder figure is next to Feral & the Warrior Alien. He looks almost regular human sized next to them when in Predator 2 he was over 7ft, they should all be close to the same height.

No one else can do the predators at this scale better or to the same standard as neca. McFarlane sucks and hasbro would start doing carbonised and holocon predators.

they haven't been releasing alot of predators? they just put out the entire predator 2 line. alot of those just came out this year. if they do it was an insane run. one license i wish they would lose is the stupid turtles. i'm shocked at how insane they are with those

They used to release and or announce Predator figures way more frequently than they have in the last few years, and now there is nothing in the pipeline. It definitely was an insane run for sure. But I don't think we are all ready to let them go if they are done. There is always more Predators to make or re-do! And as a TMNT collector, they definitely push out a lot of Turtles stuff, but I don't want them to stop there either! 😜

oh there's always more preds to do. it could just be that their doing so much right now with other stuff. evil dead comes and goes. jason, freddy, all of it comes kinda streaky sometimes. i am choosing to be in denial about them losing the license for now lol. at least not til the ultimate wolf, which we saw the prototype for, comes out and how insane would an ultimate predalien be? @@MikesMonsters

An Ultimate Predalien would be insane! Would be great to see that one after it being one of their first. Wolf and a Predalien remake would be fantastic!
