It's not only taxes but all costs, including interest, and all fees you pay over the time of ownership, that needs to be factored in. And then when the lease is up, you have to pay it off or sell it! This constant changing cars every five years is more expensive than if you just paid for it up front by buying it and paying the sales tax! Technology changes but performance do not change that significantly in 5 years and only marginally in 10 years! So if this is the only way you can afford an exotic, then go for it but it certainly is not the cheapest way.

I personally think you should have outright purchased the car. Then leased it back to your company. The payment and interest would be the same as what you just signed. The difference is that your the bank. The tax breaks and the monthly payments would have been a better deal in my opinion. I do this on much cheaper vehicles, I can only assume that my method will also work on Lamborghini vehicles. Having said this, there is always more than one way to accomplish something. That's a wonderful car, enjoy..

Appreciate you taking the time. Finances is complicated, but you can look at it in many different ways. The non-reporting is the only plus. Ferrari financial is the same - still a simple interest loan, though. Leasing has a few advantages, but I decided to pay half cash and finance the difference, no matter the car. I would rather own or keep all the equity. I also want to pay it off and have the asset. Biblically, we are not supposed to have the debt. I think about that a lot when I take on debt, but I know I may not keep it forever and I try to buy what may appreciate. So far so good. Everyone keep doing you. Do what you think is best and don’t take risk that jeopardize your family, health or future earnings potential. Thanks again for sharing. I am going to keep paying half cash and fiancé the balance 🤩

Ok, help me understand this…You could finance that same car through Woodside for 96 months at 10% with $80k down, on a Montana LLC for $1775/month. At the end of 5 years you’d only owe $55k. I don’t understand how your method is better and if I understand you correctly unless you keep the car the lease term AND buy it out for $90k at the end you have built no equity?

Maybe I missed the math and if so I apologize. But, with the purchase you also don't owe the $90k residual value. So leasing would cost more in interest and then you have to cover the nut of $90k or refinance the balance, correct? Not to be critical, but it seems a purchase is still better IF you keep the car 5 years. I really appreciate you sharing all of the details of the purchase!

Can you not form an LLC in Oregon and buy the car through the LLC and reg in Oregon in turn avoiding sales tax? Then fin at 60-72 months?
@ocmotivatorАй бұрын
@@trentaustin9211 sure you can. And as long as you don’t drive the car a lot you may get away with it. But I’ve got this slight aversion to constructive tax evasion that would keep me up at night considering California has employed task forces to frequent car meets and events to find people who have done this for the sole reason of dodging taxes and emissions rules. And having an out of state plate on an exotic is like screaming out to the world that you’re skirting the system. Many get away with it but I have one friend where they impounded his car and told him to prove his LLC was a real business and explain why the car is in California 100% of the time after they saw the car and even wrote tickets to him several times over a year period. They wouldn’t release the car until he paid the taxes and registered it to his home legitimately. I’ve always said that it’s when we think we’re the first ones to ever have a slick idea that we find out that the govt figured it out too. Not worth the risk. Especially since I drive my Lamborghini a lot so it would be hard to say that I’m just visiting with the car. Additionally, you risk getting cancelled by your insurance company for the car being driven in California full time but telling them it’s an Oregon or Montana car where rates are a lot cheaper. Imagine getting into an accident and the insurance company denying the claim because you didn’t tell them it was really a California car. Also you won’t have an Oregon drivers license either which is a red flag and you can’t legally have drivers licenses in multiple states.

At the end of trad financing you own the car out right... so technically you have guaranteed equity not based on resale value. You are banking that your Lambo won't dump its market value in the next few years. It's unlikely you'll be underwater when 90K comes due but something to think about. I've never considered open ended leases before, so I've learned something new. Can you sell it before the lease is up?
@ocmotivator10 ай бұрын
As I shared in the video the biggest advantage of this other than the tax savings is the early termination and equity transfer to a new car at any time or simply pay it off or switch to traditional financing anytime. And beats the hell out of paying $3000 month. Also, these have held their value very strongly over the last 9 years so it would have to contradict all Lamborghini history other than the Gallardo for it to drop that far.

I mean Im down for getting a Lambo but there's places you can finance for 180 months. Then just your down payment would let you buy the car and drive it for a couple of years then sell it and recoup most of your money depending on the model you bought and mileage.

The best way to finance an exotic car is to borrow against cash flowing real estate. Buy investment properties, let the tenants pay monthly and you pay down the property and collect cash flow monthly. Over time you build equity. When you have significant equity in a property or multiple properties you borrow against it. You get lower interest rates(mortgage interest rates are typically lower than auto loan rates) and it’s a 30 year term, and your tenants are gonna pay rent and pay that debt back down over time. Also when borrowing against real estate it’s tax free money. In this instance if he put down 66k and financed $130k with a cash out refinance his monthly payment at 6.5% would be $815/mo.
@deadcell13 ай бұрын
You are not thinking long-term. You will get destroyed with this strategy in a higher interest rate environment which is undoubtly coming. The US goverment is running a $35 trillion deficit, when the federal reserve reach a point where they can't find enough buyers to sell bonds to monetize the debt, interest rates have no where to go but up and that's gonna cause a run on the dollar which will squeeze the purchasing power of your tentants.
@holisticcatalyst2 ай бұрын
@thesnyderteam-lasvegas6614 I owned 25 rental homes, and I have a better way. The rental cash flow or ROI on just cash flow about 2 to 5% per door is too low to consider this and the execution risk of the debt. I taught people to never do a cash out refi. So check this out, invest 50k from any line of credit. The income on the funds I use pay about 100% annual return. For example, tomorrow I will deploy 10k from a 8% heloc and monthly after tax cash flow is about $500 a month, forever. That is about the net cash flow per door I averaged, net meaning after repairs and capex. So, 10k for my skill level, is the same as buying a rental home and all that debt, time, work,risk, etc, and I own two prop mgmt companies, I am an expert SFR rentals. So you can scale that up to any amount. Now the brokerage account will give you margin or credit of another 50k so with 50k invest you will cash flow 100k annual paid monthly. I used to put the rental income in these funds and I liked it so much I started selling the doors. Ask me anything.

I buy expensive cars and own $400,000 in cars right now but I’m curious what Premiere wants to see from you for debt without using your score or anything. You did say they look at score but did they want a breakdown of finances. It seems cool and you can always sell before the balloon.
