I think so too. The nuggets lost KCP so they're going to be even more mid this season. With a healthy Vando to lock down MPJ I like our shot at running back the same roster. This last playoff series was actually really close despite losing 4-1 and not all of the Lakers were healthy.

Yes maybe but i don't forget it was on Ham to lose against them, cause 3 games we were up by a consistent score just to end to lose the same way over and over in 4th quarter. They were obviously more solid than Lakers as a team but not unbeatable at all. I'd be happy with Kessler, Wendell Carter or Lopez. Kessler is the best shot blocker / lob threat and youngest. Idk how I feel about giving a first for Lopez at age 36 but we need to get at least one of these 3 centers. Kessler seems to have the most upside, plus we also have the ability to remove protection from the Jazz pick so that should be an advantage in a deal. Kessler's contract is also a plus as it allows us room to make another big move. That Lopez salary is a lot even though it's expiring, rather make a splash for Grant if we're going to pay someone over 20 milllion. Kessler is the cheapest center option salary-wise, so if we can get Kessler plsu Grant, plus make room to sign Gary Trent Jr. Then I'm all in for trading all 3 firsts in 2 separate deals for Kessler and Grant.

The Lakers need to reach out to Portland. Not just Grant, but Simons checks all boxes for guard. He can shoot the 3 quite well and is very very athletic. Ayton contract is steep,so I doubt he would be a target. I believe they still have Williams on their roster. Portland is in full rebuild. Lakers have Russell and three other players on expiring contracts. They have a couple first round picks as well. Most teams hate the Lakers and won’t trade with them.
