Lmao she’s obviously biased. The data ain’t showing an increase. It’s still way to early to tell since a majority of renewals hit 2025 and 2026. Debt to income is way too high and intrest rates ain’t getting below 2 percent ever again. Who knows 🤷‍♂️

Lol, your reason is super flawed. Debt to income ratio has been way too high since 2015…or even way earlier, but it never stops the house price. Same as any major cities around the world. So debt to income ratio was a big distraction since the beginning. And majority renewal has already been happening for at least a year now. Did you see house price plummeted? Not really. Even in Toronto, there are still houses sold higher than asking price. So majority renewal isn’t the reason that is going to affect the house price. So who is biased? Just stop listening to those youtubers who talk about bubble bursting. They were just trying to get the views because youtube pays based on the views. They are actually making money off you fool!

Not sure why they think prices can keep going up....? Calgary has house prices dropping. Toronto and Vancouver RE KZbinrs are giving advice on how to sell now before their markets collapses.

and this is why you SHOULD never trust a real estate agent !!!!! PRIME example !!!! everyone talking about job market booming !!! BUT no one mentions what kind of job market it is ? can you really afford a mortage working 40 hrs at Mcdonalds or tim hortons ???? cas i can tell you, the service industry for skill trades is slowing down drastically !!!!!

Interesting how I’ve never seen anyone who represents a brokerage predict anything but huge gains. Basically the most painful year any Canadian consumer can remember and they still think real estate is going to go up 7%.

Today etobicoke home that a person bough last year Jan at 1.28 MN was sold at $ 9,50,000. My friends new home bought last year in Feb at 1.4 MN in Mayfield Brampton is not able to sell at 1 MN now😅 So real estate is that down. Now I have seen streets where half of homes r for sale at last year peak prices but nobody is buying and they r reducing 100,000 listing price every month 😅 Ppl bought homes at exaggerated prices while at low interest rate now everyone is trouble due to recession. Recession in USA is also coming so Dark days for Canada ahead😅

The entire market (and canadian economy) is built on housing speculation. She can't come out and say "we are expecting home values to drop off". It would lead to a panic of selling which would actually drop prices and take the economy with it. No they have to maintain confidence that real estate will never drop and home prices will only go up.

Housing expense and poor housing availability is such a horror story that I could run for public office from a new political party JUST and ONLY to fix this problem and to get inflation down (I do not mention the increase in mortgage rates due to the massively higher interest rates!) Then we need to start reducing the MASSIVE bureaucracies backing city, province and the federal governments. Food and fuel will also need to face a Wind-Fall profits tax as they are too expensive. We also need reduced taxation....can I get your vote??

Where is this women living. I can sell her home that lost 20 to 40 % from last year peak in Canada. Whole streets in many new neighborhoods r on sale due to the reason that they bought after COVID at peak prices but now they can't afford with loosing value of homes. Double jeopardy 😅

lies! how is home prices going to increase in "Q4" this year if the prices are currently in declining motion? I've recently fired my Royal Lepage agent after listing my house for 3 months without any offer lol.... they don't know what they're doing over there.... i called Al Sinclair, paying 50% higher commission but I'm confident Remax will get it sold. House is about to go on Hot Property 😂 which is going to be very exciting to watch and see if that helps get the exposure it needs to hopefully sell

Canadian RE market is a speculative market. All it takes for Canadian to panic and MOFO is by doing exactly this, Nd its been working unfortunately. Sales people don't care if the market drop, they eat based on market movement, even a bit of movement.

Lmao the last people anyone should listen to when it's about pricing and selling is a real estate agent. Their lively hoods are directly linked to it. They may be good for talking to activities in the market but not "when should someone buy" as they would paint tk pictures as "buy or sell now!" As it's business for them and $$$. Back in the day, when I purchased my first home to live-in; that was toronto in the early 1990s, first mortgages with rates of 8 to 9% and 9% to 10% were typical. People will have to accept the possibility that we won't ever return to 3%. If sellers must sell, home prices will have to decline, and lower evaluations will follow. Pretty sure I'm not alone in my chain of thoughts.

If anything, it'll get worse. Very soon, affordable housing will no longer be affordable. So anything anyone want to do, I will advise they do it now because the prices today will look like dips tomorrow. Until the Fed clamps down even further, I think we're going to see hysteria due to rampant inflation. You can't halfway rip the band-aid off.

Home prices will come down eventually, but for now; get your money (as much as you can) out of the housing market and get into the financial markets or gold. The new mortgage rates are crazy, add to that the recession and the fact that mortgage guidelines are getting more difficult. Home prices will need to fall by a minimum of 40% (more like 50%) before the market normalizes.If you are in cross roads or need sincere advise on the best moves to take now its best you seek an independent advisor who knows about the financial markets.
