Glad you now have a permanent house there. Do you intend to live there full time when you retire?

Kevin, it seems to be very affordable to furnish a house.

Hi, nice house but I can't seem to understand why spending all that money for furniture if there is no ceiling and no paint on the walls? If it was me, I'd at least paint the walls and, if possible, put up the ceiling, and then get furniture. Otherwise, you will need to move the furniture when you have the house painted and ceiling installed. Usually, when this happens that way, furniture tends to get damaged and even if you manage to cover the furniture, it will still be dusty and quite messy after the paint work and ceiling installation is done. Well, that's just me. But since Kevin is from the U.S., I would imagine he would have though about it. I've never seen any house or apartment in the U.S. that would be furnished before paint and ceiling is done.

Hi there. Appreciate your comment, and I fully understand where you are coming from. I have concerns about that as well, but we came here for a limited time, so wanted to stay in the new house. We do not have air conditioning either. As for the furniture getting damaged and dirty, well that is the chance we will take. But Our family will take care of things while we are gone, and I trust them to move the furniture and take care of it once we do have the walls painted and ceiling put in. If something happens the couch is cheap, just replace it, and the TV will be put away in the box when we leave. We do appreciate your comment my friend. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Take care my friend.
