Kevin, I prefer a warm shower 🚿. However, I agree with you that a hot shower beats a cold shower. Enjoy what time you have left in the Philippines.

Your bathroom is huge, loved the tiles you put. I loved taking cold shower but the hubby doesn't like it so we bought a solar water heater, it was installed in the roof. Man! It works great. Your house looks beautiful.
@OurPhilippineAdventure13 сағат бұрын
HI Malou. Thank you so much. Yes it is a nice size bathroom for sure, and I do need a water heater for my showers. Lol. I never thought of a solar powered one. I might have to change this one out for that, and put this one in the other bathroom.

Before we came here in the Philippines, when Sears closed their store, we bought a craftsman lawn mover. Filipino just use the grass trimmer to cut the grass. At lot of stuffs here in the Philippines is made in China. We might buy a riding mower when we are ready to landscape our property. Have a safe flight back to the US kevin and family.
@OurPhilippineAdventure14 сағат бұрын
Hi Malou, Thank you for the comment and watching. yes a riding one would be great, but our property is so small. I will buy a good push mower before we move here so it will last longer. Almost 95% of things here are made in China. All garbage.. Take care. Hope you and your family is enjoying the new year!!! We still have 4 weeks here, but it goes so darn fast, and when we are at work in America, it goes so slow.

Hi, nice house but I can't seem to understand why spending all that money for furniture if there is no ceiling and no paint on the walls? If it was me, I'd at least paint the walls and, if possible, put up the ceiling, and then get furniture. Otherwise, you will need to move the furniture when you have the house painted and ceiling installed. Usually, when this happens that way, furniture tends to get damaged and even if you manage to cover the furniture, it will still be dusty and quite messy after the paint work and ceiling installation is done. Well, that's just me. But since Kevin is from the U.S., I would imagine he would have though about it. I've never seen any house or apartment in the U.S. that would be furnished before paint and ceiling is done.
@OurPhilippineAdventure20 күн бұрын
Hi there. Appreciate your comment, and I fully understand where you are coming from. I have concerns about that as well, but we came here for a limited time, so wanted to stay in the new house. We do not have air conditioning either. As for the furniture getting damaged and dirty, well that is the chance we will take. But Our family will take care of things while we are gone, and I trust them to move the furniture and take care of it once we do have the walls painted and ceiling put in. If something happens the couch is cheap, just replace it, and the TV will be put away in the box when we leave. We do appreciate your comment my friend. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Take care my friend.

It looks like the homestead is making steady but noticeable improvements. The new driveway will help big time with coming and going. There are all kinds of different options for completing the top of your wall to keep people out. The more pointy and sharp the better. So if they make it across the top of the wall with their severed bloody testicles hanging by a strand, I'm sure the German Shepherd will be more than happy to finish them off haha

The title document usually says something like jane doe, a filipino, married to john doe, an american, with the legal description etc. ultimately your filipino spouse essentially controls the property, but you ARE still noted on the property title. Theres no point in building unless you have filipino kids to hand it down to. Price of rent vs real estate doesnt make sense. It makes sense for my family because my kids are dual.

@@Phil4me-p1i Of course my wife owns the land and has complete control over it. As far as the house is concerned, I’m not the only one putting money into it. She has put in a lot as well.
