When my wife and I go to adopt a dog at the shelter we will ask about senior dogs. We’re seniors and not as active as we were and adopting a senior seems like right thing to do. Many are not adopted because of their age but my wife and I love to give a senior a home to spend the rest of his time being pampered and properly taken care of. God bless the people who help dogs find a home.

I love my two dogs,aged 13 and 17 I d never abandon them, I love them too much, times are hard but don’t abandon your pets they love you so much.😢

All of the videos are so heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time! I love senior dogs! I adopted a bonded pair approximately 2 years ago after my other senior dog passed away... My plan is always to adopt senior dogs. I cherish every moment I have with my babies!❤

I have a senior dog who will 15 on December 1st. They r so special. Why would anyone want throw them away like trash 😢. Humans can be so cruel.

I've had senior dogs. They love and adore you unconditionally. My last one lived for 18 years! A precious senior dog whom I'll cherish forever!

I have 2 senior dogs. Cookie my Pitbull and a rescue is 13yrs old now and cherish our time together. Cookie was rescued from a dog fighting ring in Phoenix. Humans are bad not the Pitbulls!!! Charlie our 11yrs old German Shephard Chow mix is a rescue from a rescue group and has been our son's best buddy. Our son has Downs and severe Autism. Joan

That is so right. It takes a few years for the dogs or cats personality to come out and shine, you then find out who your little people really are. After I lost the last of my cats, it took me a year to get over loosing them...they were 16, 15 and 19.5 years....i have just adopted a scared 14 year old cat who has been very cruelly trested. I have now had her 4 months and she will let me stroke her, gently comb her and kiss the top of the head without shrinking with fear...makes my heart sing that she is trusting me Xxxx

How can anyone get rid of their senior pets? They are such a treasure! Usually it's because of medical reasons I suppose, but just let them live out their life with someone to love!

I hate it when people dump their dogs because they are old. At a time when they need you the most, you betray them. It all makes me sick. Alone, confused, terrified and heartbroken separation from their families.

To people who dump their elderly dogs, shame on you, please do not adopt any animal as you do not deserve them. What do you do with your elderly parents dump them somewhere .
