It looks like the prices have gone up about the same here in the US. Gas, food, and everything really bolted up since around last September. Its steady increase over the previous months seemed to make a noticeable jump at that time. During one month, my monthly shopping bill for my same usual order increased by 25%. Not to mention all the shortages of varying things which are worsening. Of course, a lot of price increases relates to gas prices which went way up starting over a year ago, then everything else tends to go up like it did in 2009. Gas nearly doubled before the mess in Europe and everything will be worse in all resource availability. I have seen some hateful comments directed your way, and I am sorry for that. There are hateful comments because Russia and its citizens are responsible for the thousands of death still happening in Ukraine. No one should be supporting Russian creators when they could be helping the global humanitarian efforts for Ukraine. No one cares about the superficial discomforts being felt by Russia. Russia is committing war crimes. Thank goodness, the economic sanctions and Europe's new policies eliminating their dependence on fossil fuels from Russia are going to decimate the Russian economy. @@feelrussian I retired from teaching in 2008. I had 21 years of experience and a master's degree. My last salary was $93,000. When I retired I was 59 and I wanted out. Within three years, I would have been making over $100,000. Instead, I retired and got a pension of $30,000, which included free medical care. When I became 62, I started receiving Social Security, which is about $1800 a month. My wife also receives $600 a month. In all, we have $4400 income per month. However, we have a new home and a mortgage. We spend about $800 a month on food for 2 people. Heat and electric is $250. Water and sewer is$90. Fees to our Homeowners Community are $400 per month. I have a new Ford F150 truck on a lease. That is $400. It all adds up and we do not have much money left over. So, things are different here. I'm sure we live better, but from the way you and others in Russia appear on video, you don't look like you are doing too badly. Your stores and shopping malls look like ours. Beginning teacher pay in the NE US is about $50,000. Police, fire, emergency medical and nurses are probably paid about the same. If you make $50,000 money is tight. @@dimuss9553 : So why did you watch her video in the first place? The topic of her video was clearly stated. There are plenty of newsreel video giving details and progress of the war on other channels for you to watch. There are thousands of channels giving all manner of topics under the sun from travel, to firearms to camping. Were you expecting them all to grind to a halt because a war is occurring in Ukraine? Wars are occurring in some part of the World, constantly. People are dying in some part of the World as we speak, from disease or malnutrition. Does that fact stop you pursuing your Life, or enjoying time with your friends or family, or engaging in your hobbies? I hear Americans complaining vociferously about the price they have to pay for petrol at the pump and have done for years. Some adopt an isolationist stance and say the war in Europe is no concern of theirs. Yet other Americans are willing to send aid or to volunteer to fight along side Ukrainians for their freedom. We may lose members of our family to illness or accident, yet Life marches on regardless. It is utterly pointless, for you to single out this Russian woman, for posting videos about Life in Russia. That is the theme of her channel. Prices of goods in the shops will bring to the attention of Russians like nothing else, just how much this war is affecting them and will cause them to question their Government and its policies. In her own small way, her efforts may be one step in calling Putin to account for what he has done and what he continues to do. I don't know where you live, or what Nationality you are, I do know that Boris Johnson is not calling me asking my opinion on his handling of this crisis, anymore than Putin is asking this woman what she thinks about anything. If people share details of their Life, then perhaps it will be seen that we have similar worries and concerns, no matter where in the World we might live. I'm not expecting this woman to suddenly pick up a camera and become a war photographer. Life goes on, if you don't like her Life, watch something else and give the virtue signalling a rest.

@@StevenKeery I'm speaking up for those who are being slaughtered in the way I can. Russians are claiming they don't know about it and Putin has tried to block all information getting in. Russians need to know what's happening. Germans claimed they didn't know what was happening to the Jews. Russians either don't know (in which case I'm trying to tell them), or don't care (in which case they need to know why the world is going to hate them for generations). For you obviously looking at russian women shopping is more important than the deaths of thousands. That's on you. You do nothing to help so you are as guilty and your opinion is of no consequence.

@@StevenKeery Telling them 'its ok, everything is going to blow over' is patronising and dishonest. It's not ok. Invading a country, leveling cities and threatening the rest of the world with Armageddon if anyone tries to stop them is about as not ok as it's possible to get.

Dear ordinary apolitical Russians, think about the special military operation when you think about sanctions. Nobody is sanctioning Russia because you are Russian, but for what is happening in your name. Many foreign companies are leaving Russia not because they have to, but because they can no longer justify making money from Russia. That is the truth. You are not hated all over the world either. There are so many loving foreign comments to the Russian people under the videos of Russian KZbinr. Reminder: It is Russia's special military operation. So are you. Inform yourself also outside Russia - gladly also from India and China. You will certainly not find any Western propaganda there. Think about the future of your children - your neighbours are dying for the future of their children - and dying is not even the worst thing your countrymen are doing to them. 40 million freedom fighters cannot be defeated, but it looks as if they are desperate to finish this hopeless undertaking. If you think it's going towards the USSR, no, it's going towards the Stone Age - and you have no friends left in the world - maybe Assad from Syria. I wish you all the best for the future, but there will be people who cannot forgive and trust you for generations and that will determine your future.

If you can make a video on how real russian people think about the so called "special operation" in Ukraine, and about Putin in general (and the Russian regime) etc that would be super interesting :)

True. So true. I've never spent $150 as when I go to the grocery store. btw you do know that on average a Russian only make about $400/month? That has to cover home, car, gas, food, life in general. That's why the coming issues are so heartbreaking for them. Im so sad for the people of Russia and even more the people of Ukraine who have lost everything including their children.
