I collect many things, but jewelry is my favorite. Even as a little kid, I wanted to wear whatever jewelery I could get my hands on, and all of it at once. As I'm typing this, I have 14 rings on my ten fingers. I bought an antique bracelet last weekend with a heart shaped padlock, it's marked Sterling, and engraved 1884. I think what I bought is meant to be a charm bracelet, but I'm not sure. I would give anything to have Dr.Lori sit and dig through all of my jewelery with me ❤️❤️

The thing I like most about your vids, besides your hootzpa, is when you teach little things about social history. Like in another video you explained about how people used to tie cans to newlyweds car to scare evil spirits. What do you mean the youngest child don't get anything lol I was the only child and never got a thing. Everybody used to say to me at school home must be nice you're a only child you must be spoiled rotten Isis not with a dad that was born in 1906 who had nothing when he grew up and didn't think I needed too much. I came along in the late 50s and I wasn't even close to being spoiled in fact I was denied a lot of things just Basic clothing he would say just be happy what you got and he made a lot of money but I asked him for a Barbie doll one day and he said go over to your girlfriend's and play with her Barbie dolls. The only thing I got was a train set and it was one of those trains that you light a little fire inside and it would smoke as it went around the track that was kind of cool wish I had that train set now..

Dr. Lori, I wonder if you've developed the habit of secretly appraising the jewelry worn around you? How do you buy your own jewelry? Do you buy them because you liked them or because the value would increase over time? 😅 I'm a curious child (at heart)

People usually ask about their pieces and show me their jewelry :) I do what I try to teach you all .. sure buy what you like, but learn to like what is valuable. Walk past the junk.
