I’m freaking out of where all these up potted plants will go😅. I’m trying to rob the 2” pots from other up potted plants for the peppers. I’ve use cement blocks to create a shelf above floor and now looking at potting bench. It is SO cold here and for about 4 days And Then Hopefully it will turn normal spring temperatures. We here in Wisconsin, US are sick of it. Our local winery said because of the one week of heat it forced buds on grapes and now they froze. That is what I’m concerned about. I see you have a side extension to GH. I think I will build a cold frame this year and high tunnel area for next year. I changed out plastic for frost cloth on onions, but I don’t know, I just hope it doesn’t get too cold the next couple of nights-fingers crossed.

Ditto on this being a fun video! You can bet I'll be "trying this at home." I loved Kate's spade, and my goodness, she's a natural. What's next for her? Grafting or hand pollination sounds good. Maybe offer her some choices for what to do next... Again, the girl's a natural!

Great teamwork, ladies! 👌 After all these years I'm still loathe to "kill the babies" - hence trying to manage my overflowing 'orphanages' until placements! 😵💫 i found that most of the time i used the three finger method to handle them : go over the top and close in with fingers slightly apart creating a small space - large enuff that the seedling doesn't fall through. No squishing, no falling from the first leaf coming of the stem mid lift. Each to their own style of pricking out! Good job Kate - watch out for an added " honey do" list! 😂

@@eliandkate Looked up bolting and yes, you're right ☹️. Looks like I've got an awful lot of spring onions to eat over the next few days. It might be early because I live in NW Turkey and our springs are a fair bit warmer than yours. Thanks for your help and keep up the good work x

Oh no Dave That’s rubbish Sets are notorious for bolting. Someone recommended sets that are heat treated as being less likely to bolt. Maybe worth a try for next year?

Eli...what mix did you pot em in to...was it just straight compost?

The two of you just need a couple of bar stools and a cocktail and you can make a date-night out of it. Nice music, it'll be lovely. 🥰🥰☺☺ - Edit: Kate's next lesson: pruning and pinching out the growing tips, etc. I know she'll love that...

@@eliandkate No, I don't think I have. I've watched most of your videos but I tend to gloss over Christmas ones. Which one is it? 😁 xx

If I had damping off due I discard the soil or can it be used elsewhere?
@eliandkate Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend using it with your seedlings. You could dump it out into the garden though

I have both English Daisies and Ice Plants to prick out, and neither plant is big enough for a coffee spoon sized digger. I am not looking forward to trying to get them done, they're multi-sewn and crowded worse than either of you did. Casualties expected. 😔

Maybe just give them a wee bit longer until they are easier to handle? It’s really fiddly isn’t it 🥹

I often find myself clueless about what I planted because I either forgot to label, or the ink that I used faded. 😂 I liked the tagline, even though some cheesiness was involved (And I do like cheese LOL) 👍
