Eyyy man Priddy might just be that one Rapper that we as black kids from ko Kasi can actually connect with. No skrr vibes, no groove and vosho lines. Just talking about life like how OG African music is 'posed to be. I've found a new favourite artist today.

SOIL - Serving Others Invites Love. On top of the other concepts to have this be one of the acronyms of the project is just a testament to the depth of thought that goes into the crafting. Really is refreshing to have this kind of depth in local music again and have an authenticity to the sound and stories and individual.

I feel like Priddy Ugly is a niche artist that makes dope music. He caters to a particular market segment. Being 'underrated' is not necessarily a bad thing if an artist can still make a proper living from the music. Mainstream dilutes the substance in the music. Imagine a mainstream Ab Soul.

Watching this in the passing of Mr Shona Ferguson, when they spoke about "as I work the valley of the shadow of death, I put a spotlight on life so all I shadow is death"... and when Priddy explained it, I immediantly thought of how Uncle Sho. He was always possitive and inspiring to us young creatives. Today we dont focus on his passing but shine light to his life and celebrate him. He did so much for us to learn from.
