The webinar titled "Truth in Reporting: Combating Misinformation on LGBTQIA+ Issues in the Media" was organized by The Initiative for Equal Rights (TIERs) to address the critical role of the media in shaping public perception and understanding of LGBTQIA+ issues. Held on the 21st of June, this event brought together a diverse panel of experts, including journalists, researchers, human rights lawyers, and editors, to discuss the prevalence of misinformation and misreporting on LGBTQIA+ topics in Nigeria.
