Pride and Humility

Welcome back to Stay True Podcast! In this episode, Madison talks about how to fight pride and pursue humility. We all are prideful by nature and that is something as a christian we have to fight hard, especially in our world today. Humility is the secret sauce to honor, wisdom, grace, and favor from God (it tells us that all in throughout the Bible). Pride by far has been my biggest problem that leads me back to the path of my destruction. Pride is the catalyst masquerading as hustler , hard worker , good things in life. I don’t know a good balance, I need God to show me I’m still learning everyday how to die to self. How to take a healthy pride in myself of being adopted by my king not of this world though. It’s hard!

Thank you for another lovely informative inspiring episode Madi. May I suggest an episode on overcoming procrastination? I tend to procrastinate on the important things I need/should be doing and it ends up slowing down my progress/advancement on where I could be now. I admire people that are go getters, hardworking, consistent, determined, do it now kinda people, but I struggle to be and lack motivation.

I had been searching for a podcast that spoke truthfully about pride and humility. It is a challenging topic, especially because we all are prideful but you delivered it eloquently. I hope more of these podcast episodes come out because it has been so helpful to translate how to handle pride and you gave specific examples and showed vulnerability and humility throughout. Bible verses about Lucifer/Satan: "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." 2 Corinthians 11:14 NIV "Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. Isaiah 14:12-15 NIV The Word of God/the bible doesn't specifically say that Lucifer was a worship leader or an angel of music. It does say he was an "angel of light", "morning star", and "son of the dawn". Lucifer means bearer of light or morning star. I'm sure though, since he was an angel in heaven, that he did worship God before he rebelled. "All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God," Revelation 7:11 NIV

Every podcast lately seems to speak heavily against others starting faith podcasts or sharing about their faith on social media? If someone is being called to minister, why not support that? Is that not the very same thing that happened for you that has brought so many people closer to Jesus?

she’s not speaking against others. but even the pharisees spoke Gods word but it wasn’t correct. no one is perfect either but Maddy has done the work and stays in her word and consults with God of how to preach. Which is how you should do it. If you believe you’re being called to preach, good, but consult with God first to make sure that is what you’re supposed to do. some people just do it without learning first. which can leads people in the wrong direction. always refer back to ur word. :)
