Is there a joystick lockout function on this jazzy model? And if so do you know how to turn said function off?

There is no joystick lockout function on the jazzy carbon. Pressing the onoff switch should cause it to beep and illuminate. If that does not happen, the battery is probably installed incorrectly or the cable connection under the arm wrest is loose. If the lights light up but the joystick does not do anything, make sure the seatbelt is not tangled in the motor, and the red release handles are in the forward position. If the back wheels are freewheeling, the controls will not allow the chair to move using the controls.
