Before the Nazis came to power, Berlin was home to a vibrant gay community. Within weeks of their rise in March 1933, the Nazis drove this population underground and waged a violent campaign against homosexuality. Over the next 12 years, more than 100,000 men were arrested for violating Germany's law against "unnatural indecency among men.” During this time, proof was often not required to convict an individual. Some were sent to concentration camps and subjected to hard labor, cruelty, and even medical experiments aimed at “curing” them.
Join Museum experts for a Pride Month Facebook Live as they give voice to a community silenced during the Holocaust.

Thank you so much for bringing attention to this topic! The persecution of lgbtq+ people during the Holocaust has been largely ignored for so long, which makes finding information about it very hard to find, so it means a lot that you discussed it in great detail.

In Concentration Camps gay prisoners had to wear a pink triangle on the arm of their shirts and jackets to mark them as gay and in order for them to be told from other prisoners like the Communists, Red Triangles or the Criminals Black triangles.

When I was in my early 20s and working through the homophobia I had experienced in my life, I watched a lot of documentaries. One of them was called the 'pink triangle' (I believe), this was the early 1980's And I have searched for it everywhere and it seems to have disappeared. In it there was archival footage of American soldiers freeing the captives from a concentration camp, but they were actually RETURNING the gay men back into the prison section!

Because if there was, too many people would understand what’s going on in todays world with lgbtq. As you can see, the u.s. propaganda machine works real well. Same reason politicians are attacking books, websites are attacking freedom of speech (Elon, YT, the list goes on), and lgbtq is being attacked for being gruumers, and CSA even tho they’re not.

Muchas gracias. Que Dios les Bendiga! 17/05/22

The Association Civil of Mexico has a great opportunity with education of the public when immigration enforces the laws of migration and human rights. The use of law and civility when the non profit can promote civil society is also the purpose of non governmental organizations such as the Organization of American States. The people who educate as within all states can realize the same cause with civil society that also includes Mexico as a Spanish speaking nation.

Thank you for sharing with me a fragment of history. The crimes and cruelties committed against my sons and daughters, my fathers and mothers, my brothers and sisters hurt me deeply, regardless their ethnicity and nationality. In Isaiah 2: 4, Jehovah God, the Creator and Source of life, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, promises: "He will be judge among the nations and will settle matters in relation to many peoples. They will turn their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. The nations will no longer raise their swords against each other and learn no more to wage war." My immediate neighbors are Jews and I am a Jehovah's Witness. Their hearts are superior than pure gold by far. They are extremely kind. The gentleman takes care of my trash can every Wednesday without my asking him to do so. They are lovely human beings, and they are not in need of the smallest improvement.

This will leave you speechless, voiceless, so wonderful: All the evildoers will be removed from earth regardless of political or religious beliefs. The promises stated in the previous comments are made by a king or 'governor' who not only has the power to fulfill these promises, but has the desire to fulfill them, according to Isaiah 9: 6, which reads: "For a child has been born to us, A son has been given to us; And the rulership will rest on his shoulder. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace." His kingdom will never be defeated or replaced, according to Daniel 2:44, which reads: "“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever." Unparalleled, right? Well, know that there are more blessings ... I will send you two more next time. Please take good care of yourself.
