I was in high school band too, as were 2 of my sons. It's a great experience! One of my sons was in the Ole Miss band at this time, which is why I recorded so many performances.

The new replacement for Dixie With Love is terrible. Heard it several times at games this year and it sounds like they tried too hard to be offensive to no one by combining pieces of multiple songs. They ended up just being offensive to my ears. If they won't let us have our tradition just adopt a patriotic song and replace it all together.

"From Dixie With Love/Slow Dixie" was banned from the stadium in 2009, but was still played elsewhere until the 2016 season. Thanks for watching!
