When he said there is something mystical missing…that was exactly my experience in the Novus Ordo. There were times where I’d be sitting in the empty church just after Mass had ended wondering where the sacred was or why there was no sense of awe or mystery. When I was graced to attend my first Latin Mass in 2019, I just cried because I had finally found what I was searching for and where I could actually pray.

How blessed Kennedy Hall and his family are to have been nourished by the traditional Latin Mass in spite of his parents having fallen away after the modernism of Vatican II and the protstantized Bugnini Mass was introduced in 1970. He’s helped shed light on the goodness and validity of SSPX and specsllupon the holiness of Bsp. Lefebvre who Fr. Gerald Murray defended in his dissertation for the PhD at Gregorian U. In Rome. Bsp. Lefebvre s likely a saint. He predicted the loss of Faith with changes in the liturgy. It was suggested that Lefebvre be considered to be named as a Doctor of the Church.

I was raised in the NO and I took my first communion in a parish the was home to 2 aging nuns. I still remember my first communion, sitting there absolutely SEETHING in my pew when they brought out the bread for consecration and it was this big, brown, flat loaf scored into tiny squares to be broken apart that the nuns had made special for the first communions. I wasn't a traditionalist and I didn't know any. I had no idea about it possibly not being valid (pretty sure it had honey). I was just SO mad because I had waited my entire life to find out what the little round, white hosts tasted like 😅, so there I was, totally messing up my communion prep in my pretty white dress and veil. I got over it by communion, but mostly by reconciling myself in my head to next Sunday being my first real communion. I guess that was my rad trad foreshadowing.

I can’t help but think that invalid consecration in NO masses is in a way a blessing, since it has prevented Jesus from being trampled underfoot as particles of the Eucharist have been falling from parishioners’ hands for 50+ years.

The NO Mass has a valid Consecration when the Liturgy of the Eucharist... the prayers of Consecration are prayed over the gifts of the Bread and Wine (once they’re unadulterated). There have been several Eucharistic Miracles originating from the NO Mass Consecration, and the results are identical to the Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano Italy 🇮🇹. Sr. Breige McKenna witnessed a Miracle during the Consecration of a NO Mass where a recently deceased baby placed under the Altar was raised to life and healed of its injuries. Jesus said He would not leave us orphans so He only permitted them to change the Mass without compromising the Prayers of Consecration. The Latin Mass is the true Holy Mass of the Apostles 🙏

I remember when I was attending the NO and Fr Val Boyle announced there would be no Mass celebrated because he could not get the correct wine. So we had a wonderful prayer service and a question and answer session. It was awesome. I didn’t realize until then there was a special wine to use for mass. It only happened once; I still pray for his soul today.

Two years ago it was necessary for me to attend a "celebration of life" in Massachusetts. I knew it would be gnarly - the Presider simply asked the people to pray Grace Before Meals for his "consecration". At the beautiful after party, I overheard presumably well-educated old ladies raving about Father's wonderful books on the Liturgy. Seven books, if I recall. It was like The Village of the Damned. Christ have mercy on us.

Was doing grad studies in mid 80s in Canada. Jesuit ran out of bread and wine. Took croutons and grape juice from the Anglican stock & used that. I had no idea. I thought it was cool. I was a cradle Catholic who never was catechized & subsequently lapsed. God was calling me back then, I just joined in the Catholic students' group there. Took Mother Angelica's network to teach me what I never heard.

I understand his Mass at the picnic table. That's when I walked out of a Mass in 1969 when they were doing everything but, jumping up-and-down. For many years by the grace of God I came back to the Church moved to Nebraska and, went to a Latin Mass in Rapid City for 4 years 3 hours away every Sunday! Started to have the same silly stuff bread with honey in Nebraska. A Priest that didn't even know how to pray the rosary. I finally moved back to my home state of Dakota where we have. I'll definitely be praying for you! I didn't realise how blest we were out here in central west NSW. We get 2 TLMs a month- one in the neighbouring diocese and one SSPX. Both a bit of a drive but worth it. On the in between weeks we drive to the same diocese to attend a more reverent NO rather than what is available near us.

I had to contact my former bishop when a parish I attended used invalid matter. At first, the bishop was prickly about it so I found the recipe from the 'baking ministry' and sent it to him. He finally believed it and said it would stop immediately. Priests have told me that in their travels, they might discover moldy invalid bread in the tabernacle. A travesty!

I can remember receiving loaf bread cut into squares, kind of spongy, for communion at my college Newman Center in the late 80's in Missouri. Really makes me wonder where else this is happening and for how long. No wonder we have such crises now; you cant receive what isnt given. God isnt constrained by the sacraments, but we are. JMJ+ We've been shown these "Mass Nightmares" for the last couple of years, but you are quite right Mr. Hall when you said it holds more weight when it comes from a Priest or Archbishop. I just think it horrifying to consider the amount of souls that are falling, as snowflakes, into Hell as Our Lady said. Covid won those souls for Satin. The leadership is only partially to blame. We are charged with learning the true Catechism of the Church for ourselves. It's a rather long and sometimes disagreeable task, but we need to do this for ourselves. I have listened to the ebook of Archbishop Lefebvre. More than once. I feel love for him! I am prayerfully glad he did what he did. There's no way SSPX can be in schism. I pray so much for God to give us back what we have had stolen from us. I attend the Traditional Latin Mass on Sundays but the novus ordo Mass throughout the week because it is so far away. Thank you Father for telling us the truth. I have read the book Murder in the 33rd Degree. I cried several times and it has caused me to pray more than ever for the Church and the Pope so thank you

We baked the bread for my first communion. I know it was unleavened and was likely just plain wheat flour bread. Super dense and about 1/4” thick, crumbling everywhere. If it was valid, we truly gnawed on the flesh of the Son of Man, but I do hope it was invalid because it would mean less desecration had taken place. There were crumbs everywhere, falling out of people’s mouths as they awkwardly tried to chew those chunks of concrete. That was in the 2000s.

we did this in the 1970s when I was in 2nd grade. We ried to make homemade matzah that turned out hard as a rock & had dixie cups of grape juice - I believe our teacher just used this as a social studies lesson plan because I don't recall a priest being involved to consecrate anything

I would love that the church would go back to the traditional mass. To be able to walk into a church anywhere in the world and everything except the homily and readings would be the same. That is what I thought I was joining when I converted in 1969. Teaching went downhill quickly after that and because I was new I accepted a lot. My NO church today doesn't have an altar rail but our last 2 priests have let us put a kneeler next to him and those who are to old to kneel on the floor can kneel at the kneeler. His line up is always the longest one. Many will only take Our Lord from a priest. I pray they will get rid of extraordinary ministers of communion. 🙏🙏

That's great about the priest at your current church, and that the line to receive from him is the longest. Pardon my ignorance, but I thought that the readings would be the same in all Catholic churches throughout the world. I, too, would love see the practice of Eucharistic ministers done away with. A few years ago, I thought that I was in line to receive the Holy Eucharistic from the priest, but things got shuffled during Communion and I ended up in line with a Eucharistic minister, who denied giving me the Host on my tongue. I told him that I would make a Spiritual Communion instead. God bless you. 🙏✝️❤

As I'm listening to this, my heart is broken, because I grew up going to a Catholic Church on a college campus. The lay people made the bread. It was a heavy dark wheat bread and the wine was the same wine you could buy from a store. This means that almost 3 decades I wasn't receiving the Lord? My children made their first Communions there. I'm sick about this.

Invalidating abuses of the Novus Ordo elicit anger. And, yes, similar abuses can happen with the TLM and did happen in the late 1960s. Yet, the problematic form of episcopal consecration found in the ordination preface of the Novus Ordo rite elicits horror since a doubtful sacrament is no sacrament and invalid bishops invalidate so much more.

I haven’t gone to Mass since the Covid nonsense. I called my FSSP parish and my priest informed me he wasn’t even supposed to answer the phone and wouldn’t be meeting me for confession. I was to make a “spiritual” one. So, if that’s acceptable- why that must be fine for sacraments all along. I did manage to go to one more Mass and while in the outside courtyard, Father walked by me (I was unmasked) and said loudly “six feet apart”. Clearly, if father is living in fear and sacraments can be “spiritually” done at home. Then, why am I there to be called out because he is more concerned for an agenda? Really, it crushed me. St. Benedict’s in Fort Worth has another priest now and I’m sure he is different but I’m changed. *This is under Bishop Olson - which may say a lot too

The great difficulty is we are in a practical sense, in 2 distinct faiths. For the liberals the liturgy is about the celebrating community, sweet hosts, sangria etc,it makes the community happy. Our religion is the sacrifice is about Christ.

Hi Kennedy I recall this happening back in the eighties In Holland they would have so called Children’s Masses using cake and freshie (A mixed soft drink).what about the rubrics of unleavened bread for hosts not used in many masses today It boils down to matter form and the priest has to have the intention to Consecrate the host ,according to rubrics the host also has to be round and unleavened ,also wine can not have artificial sugar added .Now the form of consecration of the wine was changed from for you and for many ,to for you and for all men , then the women got upset so they changed it to for you and for all ,then years later they .changed it back to for you and for many .All these these changes and omissions invalidate the Mass .That’s when I found refuge at the Ukrainain liturgy. The problem was Priests embracing introduced errors and blind obedience .At one point priests where told to introduce and start the mass with juggling or a puppet show etc etc etc etc Note the Charismatic Movement is a Protestant Pentecostal introduction ,in the days of no internet we stuffed informative typed up literature under the car wipers of all the cars parked at the St. Peter’s cathedral during Sunday Mass .This interview has brought back many memories,let’s remember the gates of hell will not prevail. A former pastor (a Msgr older than me) , when distributing Holy Communion to people he knew well (I was one), would mock "The Body of Christ." I was a fool and would mock back the amen. I am ashamed to this day. Although years ago, it opened my eyes and I really began watching him. In one homily he slipped and used the 'S' word... symbol. Then I knew. The irreverence at that parish was horrible and I began seeing abuse of Holy Communion. This man has since retired and I hope he repents, or has repented. This parish, at the time, had in excess of 10,000 families. It's no wonder the results of the Pew Research with priests who don't pay credence to our Lord.

Yes I moved from Novus to TLM because the new Mass was closed during the pandemic and they gave communion in the parking lot through your car window. I didn’t like that, so went to TLM what a comfort to our hearts when everything was closed not our faith.

There is a Catholic church near me that distributes communion AFTER Mass has ended on the way out the church. It creates the situation where very few people are on their knees giving thanks after communion. This is just one example of strange things happening at this church

I may be wrong but I would bet they don't put the pizza in the tabernacle. The consecreted host for adoration is always in the tabernacle. Christ is present in our NO tabernacle.

This attitude of invalid Mass is tipical for the SSPX schismatics. You can't have Pope Francis as an argument that SSPX is in communion with Vatican while saying that a lot of Catholic Masses are invalid.
