@@Frostadamus I still think the staff wins out. You're trading 5 stam, 7 int (8 from disc Mental strength), and 12 spirit for 7 healing power(reduced to 4 if holy with Spiritual guidance talent). And that's before you get another 10% from kings/lion.

You only need 4 points in mind blast with mind spike rotation, and you only need 3 points in resist to hit spell hit cap

The green wands everyone looking at are off. They are half the amount it shows. I only remember because I made 49 and 59 twink with my Shad priest and lock. Those stats it shows is like lvl 60 value

Great video! I just thought of the other rune instead of Void Plague to instead have Twisted Faith getting 50% more dmg for Mind Blast and just keep Pain up while you do Mind Spike, Mind Blast just a thought :D

Oh nice! Need to do the math on this. Calculate the cooldown to see if worth. Cause we can use mind blast every 6 seconds.

​@Frostadamus mind blast is 5.5 seconds if youre 5/5. Mind spike is 1.5 cast time and you have a world cooldown with a refreshing shadow word pain. Shadowspec with twisted faith your mind blast is doing 90% extra damage and you get mind blast 6 at level 40. Mind spike 3 times betwwen mind blast, you dont need to crunch numbers to know that 190% damage mind blast+spell power gear and 90% crit is good.

@@Frostadamus mana fiend, dispersion gives 36% mana back. Every class had its mana issues addressed and still getting looked at. Theres no reason to believe that shadow priests will be the only mana deprived spec. People who arent shad priest players see void plague and think theyre somehow an affliction warlock all of a sudden. but shadow priest is Mind blast, everything in the shad priests kit will revolve around mindblast pr fills in the blanks for mindblasts brute force damage. The real issue everybody is ignoring is all this damage its doing and it generating more threat. Shad priests are going to pull like crazy

Hard to say. We don't know the Gnomer fights yet. But both specs should be really strong since most heals comes from priest runes.

why no mindflay?

We be using a rotation with no mindflay. But to be honest 5/5 Mindblast might be to much, making the cooldown to 5.5 seconds, 6 seconds is more than enough if you calculate the global cooldowns. SO you can take 1 point from mind blast and take mind flay for general use.

Mind spike replaces it. It will do more damage over 3 seconds then Mindflay.

Yo your healing wep is wrong, mech menders mace + repair manual is +40Healing power. Should probably leave that staff for an arcane mage or resto druid. Also you probably want to bring homunculi for the melee for most fights as the insta Armor shred helps them a lot.

@@_Travey Yea who would want to give there war 5 extra gcds when you and the resto druid can homi + faire fire for insta max armor debuff. Also if you need PoM to heal BFD, that's a pretty big red flag that there's some holes in your gameplay.

He does make a good point. Cause with 4 points you bring down the CD of Mind blast to 6 seconds. If you take in account the global cooldowns, it seems to be the sweet spot to fit in just the right amount of spikes.

As a priest main i dont really like how strong it is. Went from the very bottom of the charts to extremely above every other spec. Just goes to show how influenced this game is by power creep and how the devs basically dont control any balancing they just make changes till shit eventually explodes.

As a mage who did STV pvp event last night and got 1 shot by DRuid & Ele sham. Obliterated by priest and destroyed by warlocks. I can say that they went a bit over the board with the caster buffs.
