+Lily Araujo Jennifer Lawrence certainly isn't mediocre. I mean I agree she doesn't really deserve the multiple nominations maybe just for silver linings but definitely not joy this year. However, I do think the Academy often neglects very talented people.
@rayunited2010foryou9 жыл бұрын
***** Yeah mate, this proves how partial the board of Academy Awards are towards some actors, especially some female leads who suck them off! For an example, apart from Norton, Di Caprio, Fassbender and many more, Russel Crowe was outstanding for his acting in A Beautiful Mind, even better than his acting in The Gladiator, however he was robbed of the award as he had some issues with the board. Jenifer Connolly instead won the Oscars, even though it wasn't anything special. Russel Crowe would have won the Oscars on consecutive years. However he was robbed of it and he never won even a nomination after that!
@rayunited2010foryou9 жыл бұрын
Chloe267036 Yes, Oscars always neglect talent! Jenifer Lawrence, if not mediocre, is not special either. She is just ordinary. But she keeps on getting nominations! In Silver Linings, Di Niro and Cooper acted so well, yet they didn't win! Such partiality is intolerable. That's why I don't even follow Oscars anymore! Same goes for Rotten Tomatoes, bullshit reviewers!

Isn't the phrase "Badgering the witness"? Or can it be both?
@shanajeangedeon90602 жыл бұрын
@@aaronkenyon7112 They mean 2 different things but in this specific scene she's doing both. "Leading the witness" is trying to get the witness to say or act a certain way just to get what you want, whether it's true or not, whereas I think "Badgering the witness" is using aggressive or repetitive language to get them to say or do what you want. I am not a law student though, so I may be wrong.

@davidlazerz85642 жыл бұрын
@@shanajeangedeon9060 When cross examining you are allowed to ask leading questions (within certain rules). For reference a leading question is "Isn't it true you were at the bar that night?" or "You knew he was angry that day, didn't you?". The open hostility she shows here would likely be reined in by a real judge however, but this is just a movie so artistic license and all that. I don't believe she was the one to call him as a witness so her role would be that of cross examination in this scene, in an attempt to rebut the testimony he provided for Gere's character.
