I'm out with ‪@BackGardenBushcraft‬ building two independent but joined natural shelters to enjoy for 2 nights to practice some primitive and camp crafts at before giving it all back to nature and leaving no trace.
We start the fire by bowdrill and I knapp a primitive flint arrow head whilst Tom carves. These crafts were done on a bench that we made together on the trip with traditional tools and techniques. We also cook up some great food & record episodes of The Wodesman Podcast

Great video … and was the trailer towing the tractor when you to carried that log….. is the ring on the auger for the handle not the same size as the bit and the shammer on it designed to bang on the end of the timber you want to put in the hole you made so it fits just right…. Just a thought….. please don’t berate if I am wrong….please 😆

Haha the trailer was taking lead at points 🤙🤙 Yeah the end does have that sharpened part for the exact purpose you decsribe, only the legs tapered down from a thick bit of wood so it was easier for Tom to use a knife and axe in fairness :) Thanks for watching!
