It's always nice when a helicopter stops in to say hello. The stick frame cabin starts to come together. An. old fiend makes the journey north to spend a few days up here. We do some scouting for a hunt later this year, exploring the general region, and get some walls stood. The cabin takes shape, but has a long ways to go. A mix of summer weather makes for all the great colours to come to light.
See you all out there!
Shawn

Part of living off KZbin income is allowing Patreon. Use it as extra income or emergency income. The reason some of us retired viewers want to participate in this manner is because you are true to yourself. You’re risking it all. I can’t give a lot, but my little added to others can help you buy things you need like a sawmill or to pay off debt. I started watching back when you first bought the property. I was so disappointed that I had to wait a long time for the next episode. That was right after I first retired. Your channel is still one of the best on KZbin.

The wife and I have been building our home for almost 2 years now and are getting close to the last little items. It's so rewarding when you do it for yourself. Although we created a KZbin channel to let some friends and family follow along, we never did much until recently. I haven't learned a lot about video editing, but I watch a lot of channels and see how each of you puts your videos together. We've uploaded around 66 raw videos and one edited video so far, and have a little over 50 subscribers, so a LONG way off from "monetizing" ours. But I'd say that as long as you're bringing something of value to KZbin, then any small donations and gifts would simply be people's way of repaying you for bringing them a little joy. We hope to one day have a large enough audience on ours to be able to provide them some interesting content along the same lines (we've got a 30 acre forest that needs a LOT of upkeep). The wife has built most of ouor furniture, and we're totally off-grid as well, so maybe they can gain some valuable insights from a couple of OLD farts doing it on their own too! Good luck and keep up the great work!

Fix lunch for the helo fishermen. Got to be some money in that. That helo costs real money. After you give in on this project the next guy will pounce on it. Don't you do it yourself; hire a pretty girl who can talk and knows how to run a cafe (no booze). It can be a folding table on the beach. That's all it takes. The rafts float down the CO river from lake Powell and pull over to have sandwiches and what all. Two girls run it. It's part of the trip and I'll bet it's in the millions all together. Of course there's insurance and all that.

You tube is the only thing I watch. I don't want to pay to watch Netflix and all those others that cost a fortune to watch, and it is just junk. I would love to pay to watch videos like yours. I am 82-year-old woman and can't afford much but sure would buy you coffee once in a while. I make sure I watch the advertisements all the way through because I think you get more from you tube if we do that. Your skills have really grown since the first video.

I agree, tv isn’t worth much these days. I only used my tv to watch movies on my DVD player, my roommate has the cable and watches a lot of tv when he is not at work. Granted he uses it mostly as a way to unwind after a long shift at work. I don’t watch a lot of tv anyway so only do so if my roommate already has it on…😊. There are a few channels I like, mainly the Foodnetwork and HGTV, the others come and go as my roommate mostly gets the monthly free channels which only last a month or two…if even that. So I don’t plan on getting cable or satellite once I can afford my own place, it’s really a cost I can do without…

Gawd, Shawn... you're so bloody...Canadian, for cripe’s sake. The most stimulating part today was the trip upriver with your mate, laying the foundation for the winter's meat quest. It got me thinking about how your whole environment is so boundless and varied... how winter is going to do that magic transformation again. The straightening out of the boat was the bee's knees, to think that everyone thought it was lost and gone, for good. Bring it on.

Yes, bumblebees sleep especially in cooler weather, usually inside of flowers. When it gets too cold (below 45 F/7 C) they enter what's called a chill-coma and stay asleep until the sun warms them. In the fall, the queen bees move underground and hibernate and the worker bees die off. Worker bees only live about 4 weeks, even in warm weather. Fascinating creatures.

Great show as usual The fly your friend was using is called a Muddler Minnow a classic pattern . Also maybe check the amp output on your generator compared to the startup Amps on your compressor. Its a small compressor but all compressors draw a lot of Amps on startup. You don't want to burn out your motor. Also plug your compressor in direct to your generator .No extension cords. Use a longer air hose if you have to Like Red Green says We are all in this together.
