I wanted to visit. I ran the Ranger Point Precision booth in the same bay. Simply too busy to stop by.

Where are the good postings from Wilson Combat? What happened to Mass & Ken?

Wait I’m confused, I thought we weren’t supposed to have lights, optics, and all that other fancy stuff on our guns since we “won’t ever actually need that stuff?!”

It's been months since Ken and MA have been let out of their Fudd caves. The fallout is real.

@@steveg7724 she did seem like a professional shooter but I didn’t really see anything particularly wrong with anyone else. Can you be more specific? Grip height, thumb positions, timestamp? I love 1911s and consider myself a decent shot with one but I’m always looking for ways to improve my technique
@steveg77247 ай бұрын
@alexanderren1097 look at her thumb positions compared to the others. Also, the support hand with a number those guys the meat part of the hand should be filling up the left over space and should be the majority of the grip strength. Just my .02.
@alexanderren10977 ай бұрын
@@steveg7724Now that you point the meat part of the support hand out, I remember I actually used to make that mistake myself before being corrected by a firearms instructor instructor and it’s definitely improved my accuracy and recoil control. After rewatching it and zooming in, I only saw 3 people make that mistake: the Asian guy in the middle of the video, the white guy with long hair, and the black guy at the very end. Their support hands could all definitely be tighter. But the majority of the other shooters looked fine to me. Lastly, now that you made me zoom in and pay close attention to everyone’s hands, the female shooter is making a mistake with her thumbs. The thumb of her strong hand is below the thumb safety. In order to get better recoil control with a 1911 your thumb should be riding the safety as this does 3 things: 1) If that’s your default thumb position then it’ll pretty much guarantee you successfully disengage the safety during your draw/presentation 2) It ensures you can’t accidentally reengage the safety during recoil 3) It gives leverage to aid in recoil control and follow-up shots. Granted, she is significantly smaller in size so the gun may not fit her properly and either needs grip modifications or she just needs to select a different gun if she’s looking to buy. Lastly, her support thumb could be higher up on the frame although again, it might just be that this gun doesn’t fit her
