We have the immunization card from government hospital for our kid .... and its older so some things got faded out in it.

You will need that for sure as they will make copies of that and keep it with the school for records stating your child is immunized.

For admission of a 4year old child what are the requirements?? He is 3 right now n is getting potty training done and also speaks a little less than kids of his age ..does this cause issues in getting the child admission??

A child here gets admission when he turns 5 on or before 1st October. If your child is 4 or 3 he can still go to daycare if required. Schools are free but daycares are expensive here.

First of all welcome to USA. Here the age of a student is calculated on the basis of their age as on 1st September of any year. If he turns 10 by then, then he will get admission in 4th grade. But he has to write an exam. Once you come and settle, you can apply for schools in your district.

If you cannot locate your immunization records, you will need to have any missing inoculations administered. Optional titer test: If you are certain that you’ve received a Measles, Mumps, or Rubella (MMR) inoculation in the past, a blood titer test can show your immunity. Contact your health care provider for further information about blood titer tests. If the test shows that you are positive, you will need to provide our office with a copy of the lab reports so that we can mark the MMR complete. You can contact the schools in the USA before coming here to understand if there is any process that you need to complete before moving to the USA

New Jersey Statute states that anyone over the age of five and under the age of six is guaranteed enrollment in kindergarten. Four-year-olds may be admitted, though they are not guaranteed admittance; it would be up to local districts to admit a four-year-old child.

Of your child turns 5 by September this year then she is eligible for kindergarten. You dont have to wait for 30 days. Once you rent a house you can apply for school admission.

@@activitiesclasschhavi6373 it's not compulsory especially in New Jersey. It actually depends upon the location. However, if you are renting an apartment, while mentioning the number of house members you will come to know whether it's allowed or not. As they will not let you rent single bedroom property if that's not allowed. So better always go for apartments. Hope that helps.

TC and the latest report card are required. Other documents are related to your visa which will be filled online. Your child has to sit for a written exam before admission. They stress a lot about English. If you are moving to New Jersey, try to rent a house in areas with a majority of the Indian population like Edison. This will help your child in school admission in the right grade.

There is no specific date. They will admit your child in any time during the year. Let me tell you that here the session starts in September so if you are coming around that time, it will be helpful for your child. Once you come here and rent a house and get your Social Security number, you can apply for admission. You can watch my videos on SSN and house renting.

They don't provide it at school. I have to pack 1 lunch box and I snack box for school every day. Even there are options if your child wants to buy tiffin at the school canteen. Parents have to pay in advance for the same.
