-17:18 nice timing -That gambler's Rapidash was scary -The battle with the lab man was really annoying with that ditto -I've never seen Victreebel's sleeping animation before. I love how it just does a sorta weak flap -The bird boy basically used the 3 Pokemon from Lance's Champion team that aren't dragons -The final battle was intense, fitting for the Master Ball in R-2 -Awesome video!

That final battle was really epic. A single misplay could spell defeat. I agree, that battle was worth of being the final showdown on a Masterball cup on R-2, nothing short of awesome.

Never really had problems with that Ditto but that battle 6ths Snorlax is making me question about life because it has body slam, earthquake, and freaking rock slide so if he couldn’t put it to sleep, Snorlax destroys everything in sight.

Well done on those videos! Because of you I chose the same pokemon you did on each cup and gym in R-2. Like I previously said on another video I used the save state feature on the Switch Online version which helped A LOT between battles, after defeating an opponent's pokémon and before using low accuracy moves. I look forward to watch and play along with your Stadium 2 R-2 rentals videos!

Speaking of beating prime cup R2 with rentals its tough...Beating pika cup R2 with rentals is next to impossible..I would get to the fisherman a few times but he would always smoke my pokemon and watch the few extra continues quickly evaporate

Jynx has a really low Attack and really low Defense. Mew has decent Attack and Defense, so it makes sense.

Well, the rentals are not EV trained, so their stats are always going to be weaker than the opponent's.

Probably because Rental mons are supposed to be underpowered and the game was designed around using your own mons. Stadium 2 and Battle Revolution are a lot similar (p'sure the final Mysterial battle in the latter just has full-on Legendaries with ideal EV spread, moves, and items). The game might have been hell more tolerable with one's own Pokémon (or just genning the OU threats like the big normal trio, Starmie, Exeggutor etc.)

Well, the only other Ghost type move in Gen I was lick, a rather weak move. Night Shade on level 100 would be a guaranteed 100 damage if it hit. At level 50 it's probably not very good, but for level 100 it could make a difference.

LOL bro, at 13:00 I would absolutely not used kadabra OR jolteon. I would have used jynx, gengar, and starmie and that is the same team I used back in the day when I got the game.

Those were massive hax. Gambler was lucky that Jolteon's thunder missed a lot despite having 70% accuracy, while Horn Drill's 30% accuracy apparently had a higher chance of hitting despite lower accuracy stats. Gotta love those NPC cheats, and even with that they still lose, lol.

I've done this battle hundreds of times using same exact setup and I cannot get Jolteon to paralyze Mew. Even when I get a few Ice Punches in with Jynx it doesn't freeze Mew either. The RNG is ridiculously favored for the CPU.
