I did it on 2019, obviously what i knlw know and my experience, i wont be driving for them again, as soon as you have 2 years and keep your driving record clean, lots of doors open for you such as guaranteed pay which is far better then cpm, better faster trucks with tvs, and wifi equipped company provided my company even provides direct tv, and 100 perfect drop and hook loads, you jhst got to get that experience first, i make 100k a year as a company driver hauling tyson trailers, very decent job, but for training alone prime inc is top notch i learned how to do the job with no help. At first i never thought i could do it, now i know i can.

Edit: I entirely missed the "hauling tyson trailers" bit. Does that mean you work for tyson? Or a company that happens to haul for tyson?

@Espeonstar1 no, a third party company that hauls there trailers, called day and ross if you cam deal with a truck covered at 65, mph it's pretty good pay .

Great video brother, but one question I still have is do you get paid while in the cdl school ? Or only while training? And if not, are there any schools that pay while in the cdl school? I honestly can’t risk leaving my 9-5 for the 3-4 weeks while I’m in the school 😅

Very informative video man. Answered all the questions that I've had about other trucking companies that teach and help you to get your CDL after you've obtained your CLP. I'm currently in the process of getting my CLP right now. I'm also from Wisconsin. lets say youre out on the road for like 8 weeks. can you basically save up 8 days of home time and use it at once or how does that work?

How are they training you if they're sleeping? Because my understanding is when they're in the sleeper, they're off duty.. If you wake them up, and they have to get up to train you that would break their 10 hour mandatory break before they can drive again if they're doing everything legally. Because legally a trainer has to be in the on duty status anytime they are doing training with theirstudent. In Another words on duty not driving. Correct?

Well in the initial stage of the psd phase it is like that but 2nd phase in TNT trainer and Trainee but you run like teams as you would have gotten alot of behind the wheel time in the first phase... my trainee did not sleep for the 1st week of the second phase we kinda make th8ngs work until I got the hang of the road... he was also nervous 🤣🤣🤣

Prime is now using driver facing cameras on all new trucks coming in and on repeat offenders who get caught using cell phones or other distractions during driving. They also offer the cameras to volunteers who want to get ahead of everyone else. Eventually all Prime Inc trucks will have the cameras

If you get the cdl through prime and leave before the 1 year do they revoke/take your A license and stop you from getting other jobs

No they cannot take or revoke your license, that is a license that is tested by the state and issued by the state, the trucking company has nothing to do with that. They train you and prepare you to take the test, but the state gives the test and issues the license.

if you call them up and ask them what kind of drug test they do, more than likely, you will not hear from them again. Kick the addiction, straighten yourself out then give them a call. Nobody wants a drug addict driving 80,000lbs on the interstate.
