I think twd works best when it’s seen through the grey area. Both sides are valid but what matters is how it can be balanced. Rick is 100% in the right, and had he not stepped in Alexandria would’ve fallen. But to say he did nothing wrong is inaccurate. He completely loses it cause he’s paranoid and traumatized from his time on the road, which again pays off but if he wanted people to really listen to him it would’ve been a lot more convincing if he wasn’t covered in blood and pointing a gun at everyone. He wants what’s best for everyone but has a bad way of showing it

What I love about Rick is that he’s not the most badass fighter in the world he isn’t some hand to hand combat expert When Rick fights he often gets his shit beat along with the other person The thing that makes Rick a badass is that he doesn’t stop he keeps going and keeps fighting even when he is beat to fuck It’s a more realistic kind of badass Rick has survived through sheer force of Will and determination and it shows that when he fights.

@@CorsonDraxI think you’re arguing two completely different points. AJ/Rick/Carol were right. Domestic abuse starts as just controlling behavior. Then it turns into pushing. Then slapping. Then closed fist punches. Then full on beatings and eventually death. He would’ve killed Jessie and I don’t see a way that he could be “quarantined” without throwing a fit and trying to get revenge. They already put him in a house by himself and he was breaking the furniture, screaming “this isn’t my house.” It’s either you kill him or throw him outside the walls (and risk him finding another group - like the saviours - and coming back for revenge). The only way to ensure he never hurts anyone or comes back for revenge, would be to kill him. But I agree with Michonne knocking him out when he lost his mind.

To be fair as crazy as Rick was he had a lot of control during the fight Rick allowed Pete to throw him out of a window roll around in broken glass had his face smashed in but he never once tried to pull out his gun Also when Jessie and Carl tried to stop it there were key differences Pete punched Jessie from behind not caring at all how she’d be hurt while Rick pushed Carl away doing his best not to injure him as well as keeping him away.

He lacked a tactical approach that would make people responsive. When addressing the Alexandrians, even though his message was right, he looked and sounded like the terminus and claimer groups we previously seen.

Im a bit late, but have been enjoying your TWD reaction vids(and I usually hate reaction videos). The thing with this episode is, just like Shane, Rick is making some very good points(he is pretty much 100% correct) BUT his delivery is terrible. If he sat down with Deanna and had a conversation with her about what he has seen and been through, gave her some insight; told her in a calm, matter of fact way that they need to adapt to the world, as it is now, it would have been a much more productive conversation. Instead of him ranting all bloody waving his gun around at people... And like Rick AJ does a bad job articulating his points. There are times when he is right, but does such a bad job explaining his position that he loses the plot.
