FiiO FD3 review

Compliments rock and metal genres perfectly. Works quite well with orchestral music as well. Using these with the Pro cable (LC-RC) as I didn't really like the default cable and wanted to see what the said cable can bring to the table. CP145 tips make the overall sound even more immerse. Overall, one of my favourites until I decide to get the Dunu Falcon Pro.

I haven’t heard many higher end single dd sets but the kbear Believe is one that I purchased that surprised me. Fiio was high on my list but I ended up going with the believe. I wasn’t expecting the detail and layering that it offers. I don’t think you’ve reviewed the believe as far as I can find but I’m curious how it stacks up with the current competition. The treble is dang near perfect. I’m wondering if it got discontinued because it used to be on Amazon and now it’s gone although you can still find it if you do a general Google search

Sir, as you have said in the video that the treble is somewhat forward, does the FD3s feel harsh or more trebly on the top end when listening to classical orchestral music for long time? There won't be any discomfort on the top end right?

Not for me but your mileage may vary. I don't think it's harsh especially for classical music.

There really aren't many metal shell single DDs in that price range. I'd say the Moondrop Starfield/Aria and Meze Rai Solo (when it's on sale).

@@PrimeAudioReviews yeah your right! Thanks. I had a set of RHA T20 iems that were my everyday, out and about drivers. Stainless steel injection molded housing…tough as shit!! Buuuuttt the damn left mmcx connector crapped out and seperated from the shell😕. So im looking for a new everyday, solid iem thats not very pricey and will not make my heart stop if something happens to them! My critical and home listening is done on either my FiiO FH7’s or Campfire Andromeda’s with a little help from a FiiO q5s or that little FiiO gem the btr5. Anyway thanks for the recs. You think you will have an opportunity to review the new FiiO set the FH9? Cant wait to find out how it performs and compares to others in its price range of 600 dollars usd!!

Really worth bro... Day and night changing... But buy the pro version, the wire is just like magical to crisp and nice vocal... So it will just be balance good bass treble and mid sound... Put the eartips to vocal tips, it will be boom 💥

Somewhat similar tonality but the FD3 has better quality treble IMO.
