Hi David! You really should install some good LED lights on your tractor. It’s really nice to have the flexibility to work into the evening when needed. I don’t do it that often but when I need to, I have a bright 360 degree view. Thanks for watching!

I put a 2 foot long light bar aimed toward the front and two more 4 inch led lights on magnets aimed toward the back. I have about 15 foot extra cord on one of the 4 inch lights so I can take it off and aim it at the tractor or put it on the backhoe bucket. Basically put it anyplace I want. That works real good for the unexpected. Thanks for your videos and reviews.

@@DIYMyWay ....Martin, I'm going to order 4 of that same model to point two to the rear and two to the front for "Illumination Maximus". My wife will have to sleep with a blindfold while I do my night-time tractor work. Less wind at that time for more effective spraying of my grape crop but will certainly have light all around me. It's....OK.....she already knows I'm already ((crazy))!

Wow, thanks for sharing your great review Martin. I had seen these very same lights on Amazon Prime before, but as always, I was reluctant because I didn't know how bright or how well the quality was. This review definitely helped me to make my mind up on getting a pair of them. Great video review!

Lights are great. On another subject, floor mats, Kubota is now offering rubber floor mats, but I made mine before Kubota offered them. I made mine from rubber stall mats from Tractor Supply for $29.00 for both left and right mats. Cut patterns and cut matting with a utility knife. Mats are close to an inch thick. Protect your paint and creates a non-slip surface.

Nice video test Martin. I have front and rear leds on my tractor. Thinking about adding side lights and two Led lights on the boom of my BH77 back hoe. Right now I’m adding a expanded thumb on it right now. But I waited 4 months to get the thumb from expanded so I was bored and thinking gee it would be nice to have that hydraulic thumb. So I ordered a third function valve from summit and now I’m working on that project, soon to be finished.

@@DIYMyWay I have to do some special machining to the cylinder I couldn’t find anyone that has the 3 o’clock port position with 1” barrel ends. So I had to cut them off the cylinder end and turn it weld it on. The thumb part I needed to machine the pin with the long 5/8 bolt thru it to fit the cylinder. That’s all done just getting ready to order my hoses. It makes thing easy when I have a full machine shop to work with.. looking forward to your next video. Cheers

I've been needing some work lights for the L2501, and this review sold me on these. I mounted them to magnets and left some slack in the wiring so I could move them around on the ROPS as needed. With one facing forward and one to the rear, it's more than enough light all around. Facing both in the same direction just might burn a hole in the atmosphere.

Hey there Martin!!! There is no doubt that LED work lights are the way to go and the technology is improving all the time as is shown buy the comparison pictures you've show. The new lights are some bright and I like that the beam angle is greater than 90 degrees. That is a big plus for work lights eh!! They sure look good. Nice!! Thanks for sharing and take care!!!

Nice lights Martin, these are very close to what I installed on my New Holland mine have a 170 degree arc and a combo spot flood setup and put out 8000 lumens mine are slightly larger 4" square so the smaller size could be handy as well. I will keep them on the list incase I ever need more or new ones. The one thing I hate about lights at night is how they draw bugs, I have almost considered yellow lights but the way they still flock to my other house lights with yellow I doubt it would work. If anyone has tried it, it would be nice to know if it would work.

My biggest gripe on the early LED lights was the blue in them rather than white. Do you think this totally eliminated the blue cast?

@DIYMyWay 2 жыл бұрын
2A each.
@slugcatcher5558
@slugcatcher5558 2 жыл бұрын
@@DIYMyWay Thanks for the reply. Is that actual measured current or just the claimed spec? All of these lights are overrated on power consumption. I've yet to find a 24W light that pulled more than 1A and this is a good thing. I'd like to use the work light circuit on my Kubota but it is only 7.5A and using 4 of these and a 12" bar light would be too much if they really draw 2A. Really like your channel btw.
@DIYMyWay
@DIYMyWay 2 жыл бұрын
That is spec but I think it actually accurate. I first tested one on a bench power supply with a max current of 2A and it went into current limit when I hooked the light up. You can get around the 7.5A by adding an auxiliary fuse block like I did. There’s a video of it in the Kubota Tractor Mods playlist. Glad you like my channel! Thanks for watching!
