Maximum and Minimum Area

After finding the 𝑥 that gives the minimum area (this 𝑥 is not tiny by the way, it's almost half the length of the entire rope), you can use the fact that a parabola is symmetric about its vertex to realize that the maximum must be at 𝑥 = 2.
